Oh and all this so called pointless knowledge of outer space could allow us to do things like live on the moon, there are already a few people living out there in space, could an animal do that?

yes, we have the bigger brain than the animals according to the ratio between weight and brain.

i think that yes, humans are smarter. because we've created machines, controlled electricity, and a ton more things but i'm exhausted, lol.

People/Humans on the whole are generally smarter then animals!

Why i say so ?

People can be taught/ or can learn how to survive in any environment that they live in. Thats why you have people living all over the world =) Including in the forest.

Animals are confined to their habitats, at least most of them which are not domesticated like dogs or cats. If you destroy the forest, animals in them cannot survive and will die.

This is one of the more ridiculous topics I've ever seen. The animals survive in nature because it's their element. They can run fast to catch their prey, climb trees, drink bacteria infested water, and other such things because that is their purpose.

On the other side of the coin... take an animal and put it in a house/cage/apartment/whatever. Have food there in some sort of refrigerated unit, perhaps with a lock on it. Also the only source of water has to be from the tap.

Now... that animal is going to die of hunger and thirst. It doesn't have thumbs so would not have the ability to turn a knob or open a lock. Even if it managed to thrash the refrigeration unit enough to open it and get all the food out, it wouldn't have the ability to restock the food. Where would that leave it?

Your method of comparison is irrelevant, and has nothing whatsoever to do with intelligence. Instinct is not intelligence. Natural abilities are not intelligence.

I don't think so. xD At least not the pet-type animals.

I wish my dog could talk though. He is so silly and he's always nibbling on my hand and pawing at my arms, and I never know what he wants. Even when it seems like he wants me to scratch him, he just bites. xD
I'd like to know what goes on in that fuzzy head of his. D:<
xD

I believe that humans and animals pair up to be a good superhero. Animals know stuff that humans do not. Vice versa as well.

Most of the things you listed there are a sign of instinct, not intelligence.

Besides, if animals were so smart, would so many of them be in my freezer right now?

I know I am smarter than my cat, most of the time. She dose sneak up on me and do sneaky things... but most of the times she's jsut a silly kitty.

She can open the bathroom door if you don't clsoe it tight from the outside. But if she's inside she can't figure out how to open the door on her own. she's about 3 years old and we have had her for about 6 months... so it's really silly when she cant' even open a door.

human are smarter.... but the animals have a good heart...
so in my opinion.. the animals are more superior
