Some talk lately about time travel and whatnot has got me thinking. Everyone talks about time as if it is some sort of a thing that you can manipulate, but it seems to me, "time" as we think of it does not exist. I think that "time" is just the name we use to categorize the changing of things that we see around us. It is more of a concept, not an actual thing. We see things change, and we call the progression of this change "time". But really, no such thing exists.

Thoughts?

I believe in Time Travel, and I'm pretty interested on the subject. It's a big paradox though, really. I want to study it at University for sure!

i think the idea is pointless, like if we ever could do something like go back in time we are bound to do something really bad.

It's a complex thing.
Everyone always says, "If I could, I would go back and change ______."
But I wouldn't. I don't think I'd want to go back at all, things in the past are generally better left in the past. Also, I like who I am, and who you are has a lot to do with the things that happen to you. So I believe that if I were to go back and change something, no matter how small it is, then I wouldn't be the me that I am now.

Time is relative, and is based merely on the speed everything around us travels. If you're on the metro, you're slightly younger than everyone else that wasn't on it when you get off, because you time traveled. Time travel is based on how fast you are moving and on light speed. If a human were to travel at the speed of light, time would seem to stand still. A little slower than the speed of light, it would go very slow. And in theory, if a human were to go faster than light speed, time would reverse.

Also, if a human could run at light speed, and do so for what would seem like 5 minutes to them, everyone they knew would be dead, because at the speed they were traveling, 5 minutes to them is a few hundred years to the rest of the world.
