I think it was when I thought back to two years ago and thought of how me and my family were living in the same house, my sister and I saw each other a lot, that things were just as they had been for 19 years, and just how different things were. It's hard to believe how much has changed. Living on my own, and taking care of lots of responsibilities that I never imagined I would encounter. I guess I realized how much I've grown up when I looked back and found out how much I missed the 'good old days'.

I think I realized it when I lost my virginity ><
But I'm still such a kid in so many ways.
So is my boyfriend, I don't think he'll grow up any time soon either.
I wouldn't have it any other way though.
I like being 16 and still playing pokemon, and watching the Big Comfy Couch. ^^

Ack, you just remind me how fast I'm growing up. Soon I'll be in a nursing home where none of my family will want to visit me and I'll die cold and alone.

;_;

I think the first time it hit me that I was growing up was when I went away to college for the first time. Sure I was living in a regulated dorm and eating at a cafeteria still rather than hoofing it on my own at an apartment at first. But it is a huge change to be on your own, surrounded by thousands of people, (I went to a huge public school), and not knowing a single one of them! I also went somewhere different than all of my old friends.

There would be no Mother running upstairs to wack me if I hadn't gotten up from the alarm to make sure I didn't sleep through class. And I was working a part time job to make sure I had spending pocket money and to save up some for the loans I was now accumulating quickly with each class I took.

The second time growing up really hit me was when I moved out onto my own permanently in my own place. I had to get my own furniture and dishes and all the little things around the house you don't think about buying like toilet paper and cleaning supplies. It was the funniest little thing to do, buy toilet paper. But just the simple action made me feel really grown up!

Now I have to deal with car payments and insurances and electrical and water bills and tabulating everything.. Keeping a budget makes me feel older than old, it is so hard! I would like to do something that would make me feel young again! :p Maybe turn back the clock a little.

Once I realized I could get my permit, I felt old.
Once I realized I could get my license, a car, and a job, I felt old.
Once I realized I'd be eighteen in just a little over a year, and I'd be moving out and 10-20 hours away to be with my boyfriend... I felt old and TERRIFIED. D:
I have to get a job, and learn how to drive, and learn how to do laundry, and be ready to move out in a little over a year. DDDDD;

Another thing that makes me feel old is people that I've known since they were 14-15 are turning 18 suddenly. >.O I DIDN'T TELL THEM THAT THEY WERE ALLOWED TO AGE! NO! THEY'RE NOT ALLOWED.

Oh! And another thing!
This girl was my best friend when I was 8-10. When we were like, 8, her mom gave birth to a little boy, Cody. I remember him being a baby. I remember him being a toddler. I remember him being like, 3-4.
NOW HE'S LIKE, 9. WHUDDAFUCK. >:
My cousins are getting older, too. One of them just had a baby, another's in college, one of the guys used to be as tall as me, and now he's like... really tall. (And he keeps getting taller, too. >: Every time I see him, I tell him to stop growing. I think he's growing just to spite me)

Y'know, pretty much everything makes me feel old. Remembering things, being able to do things. Man, I can't even watch Cartoons without feeling old. It's constantly like "OH, I REMEMBER WHEN THIS CARTOON CAME OUT BACK IN 1842 AND WE HAD TO WALK 15 MILES JUST TO SEE IT" or "THEY DON'T MAKE CARTOONS LIKE THEY USED TO. BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD GOOD CARTOONS. GO WATCH REN AND STIMPY! IF YOU FIND IT GROTESQUE, THEN YOU KNOW YOUR FLUFFY CARTOONS HAVE SHELTERED YOU AND WATCH RUGRATS THAT WAS A GOOD SHOW. I REMEMBER WHEN THEY WERE STILL BABIES! NOT THESE PRETEEN DELINQUENTS!"

When my dad complained that I'm receiving more mail (from colleges) than he was... XP

That made me feel older.

But I really felt the fact that I was growing up when I first entered high school and my life began drifting towards my friends more than with my parents and lil sis.

I despise talking on the phone and getting flooded with college mail stunk!
xD

Time really does go by quickly though.

How do phone calls from your mother indicate growing up? -is confussled-

When did you realize that you are starting to grow up?

--Um...nowadays I guess? I've noticed that I'm getting closer to college, which is scaring me quite a bit...I also notice that nowadays, the days pass by extremely quickly, which is also sad too! :O I wish I could fit more into my schedule! :<

What are some things in your everyday household do you use a lot? Are you surprised at how much you use it?

--Oh yes. My computer....it's terrible!!!! I'm like addicted to this thing! ;OO Menewsha is always making me use the computer! ;OO

Do you receive as much phone calls as I do?

--I dislike phone calls!! >:D I can never think up of a subject to talk about, and most of the time, no one calls me either.....so definetly no! :O

I realized I was getting old back when my husband lost his job, but the bills kept coming in spite of it. It's even more frustrating later on when things don't go away just because you couldn't pay them, but when you try to pay them to get rid of them, no one will let you pay them because they have no record of you owing them (yet still won't do anything to take it off your credit).

It's very frustrating to try to have a normal life with no credit. It keeps you from being able to buy a house, rent a house or apartment without a lot of trouble and cosigners, get a cell phone, have any credit cards, or a lot of other such small things that a lot of people take for granted when they're kids. Without credit, it's impossible to build credit... yet everyone tells you to just "fix it". *sigh*

You also realize that you're old when you missed jury duty because you moved away and no longer live in that county (and therefore, never received the initial summons). Then, all of the sudden you get a notice telling you to show up in court and pay some huge fine or be thrown in jail. It took a lot of jumping through hoops to get that one cleared up.

yea time goes by so fast.
its like if you want to enjoy something
time goes so fast you don't even know it.
Say you're in school and you just want it
to be over and its like taking for ever!
do you ever feel like that?
because it always happens to me
