When i hit the snooze buttone i go back in TIME!
Yea, well recently schools been.. very demanding.
With the yearly main play, that i always put in my time to be apart of the pit orchestra.. i tend to become a bit straned.. For about the past two months i've had 2 concerts along with learning the plays music so weelky i've been puttin in a good 20 hours of pratice on my instroment.. So this and normle school is, well tireing to say in the least. So latly while hearing my alarm clock i hit snooze and for some odd reason im thinking when hitting the buttone that somehow it takes me back 10 minets into time so i can get more sleep..Happined to me so fair.. 4 times this past 2 weeks lols. So discushion.-- Ever think of somthing strange or cunfusing that you believed to be true at that time of when you first wake up/starting to wake up?.. but then later on your thinking back and say WTF was i thinking? |
Yeah! I hate it, I always think that like I have tons of time to sleep, and then I end up being late. Sometimes I'll dream that I'm up and getting ready, so when my mom tries to get me up, I think that I'm already ready! It's horrible x___x
I don't get home from rehearsals until 9:30 and school starts at 7:20 for me. It's so hard to find any time to do homework, let alone eat dinner and relax! We need more hours in the day XD |
Oh I absolutely love the snooze button..XD hehee
I think of it just as more minutes to sleep..so I normally set my alarm earlier then normal wake up time..XD anyways, weird beliefs when waking up eh?..hm i always seem to be in this dream that i forget later. After i press the snooze button, i am always like 'okey, ten more minutes of dream, where was i?'XD I think that should be pretty normal? |
jelachu--
LETS GO CHASE DOWN FAITHER TIME!! and throw a bucket at hims.. that'll tech him for only giving us 24 hours a day..>< foggyday--sorta kinda, if you dream alot ^^ |
Sometimes I will have these awful dream within a dream things... I will be dreaming that I woke up and telling my boyfriend that "I just had the strangest dream... am I awake?" And he would be like, "oh yes, you are awake." Then something would seem off to me and I would realize that I am dreaming again, and wake up.
Sometimes this cycle repeats itself, and he says "Well this time you are actually awake." And I would realize that I hadn't said anything about a dream and that I was still dreaming. Awful! >__< |
Huh. Not that I can think of. The only thing similar to that that's ever happened to me is when I have such vivid and believable dreams that I actually start to think that the dream occurred in real life. I normally get out of that fairly quickly, though.
|
Hahaha, yeah Father Time! take that! X3
I have been learning a lot about sleep in my psychology class. It's a very interesting subject. |
I guess that happens a lot, I get dreams where I feel like it is happening at that moment and when I wake up I feel so confused. One thing that was bad was when I thought it was the weekend and went and watch TV and find out that it was a Friday. It also happened in reverse too, I thought it was a school day so I woke up early for no reason and found out it was Saturday and was wondering why I ever woke up early on a Weekend.

Usually happens to me when I wake up from weird dreams. I once woke up clearly remembering having gone to a boarding school for five years.
I've never been to a boarding school in my life. Not even just to visit or look at the campus. XD; In a few particularly unpleasant incidents, I've woken up thinking someone who I love was dead. It scares me out of my mind every time it happens. ._.;; But as far as thinking I can go back in time goes, I've never thought anything like that, though I HAVE thought it to be later than it really was - I've had very realistic dreams of waking up and discovering it's ridiculously late...as in, 4:00 in the afternoon...or even 12:00 noon the next day. XD; |
lol, I always do things like when I'm sleepy, my boy says it as well... though the things he does and the things that he thinks is probably even worse than what I do. lol Cause yes, he's special that way.
anyways, I thank the lord now that I don't have to wake up so god damned early anymore. I moved all my classes around and talked to my teachers that love me and CRAMMED myself into THREE overloaded classes XD just so that I could have 1st and 2nd period free to sleep!! So these odd things don't happen to me anymore... though lately my boy has been waking me up in the morning and sometimes I don't remember what I was doing if I didn't get enough sleep... guess I act like a little child avoid a bath or something XP but I don't ever remember a thing XP Well whatever right? |
I do the same thing - and back in highschool I used to get up at 5:45 but I used to be so disoriented from stress and lack of sleep that I would wake up at 4:54 or 4:45 and get ready to go to school D: and then I'd realize when I was about to go to the kitchen what time it really was and then collapse on my bed.
Other times I would sleep THROUGH my alarm and wake up in a panic because I had 10 minutes to shower, dress, and walk to school. On days like that I would wake up my mom and have her drive me --- I felt bad cause she works late. |
I don't wake up for alarm clocks, ever. I find my way, in my sleep to whatever will shut the thing up and curl right back up. When I do wake up, I don't remember ever even hearing the clock, but my husband has watched me do it. I've always been ahrd to wake up though, even for him.
|
OMG!
I hate that! D: It's so annoying, but it could be okay sometimes,so i'm not sure? |
Urgh, I hate muddled just-woke-up thinking.
When my mom used to wake me up, I'd always be so confused. I'd always think things like "WHAT DOES SHE WANT ME TO DO!!!" (get up. duh.) or "What is she expecting me to say?!" It didn't really make sense. I'm so confused when I wake up. XD My alarm clock REALLY confuses me sometimes. See, I use my cell phone for my alarm. And when it rings it's alarm, the screen flashes. So I'll pick it up and look at it because I can't remember why it's ringing. And I'll try to read what it says, but the screen keeps turning off every second, so that makes it really hard. >.< And there's this little animation of bells ringing on it, and that always distracts me when I'm trying to read. And so I see "Stop" written at the bottom. And on some level it connects that "Stop" is good. Stop means it will... stop. So I press that. And that turns the alarm COMPLETELY off. Not just putting it on snooze. So then I think I have ten more minutes until it wakes me up again, so I roll over and go back to sleep. Only to sleep for 45 more minutes because of that damn phone. >.< It should say like, "Off" or something! Not stop! Of course a groggy person wants it to stop! |
I love the snooze button, the person who invented it should be shot. I used to hit it at least 3 times because I absolutely hate getting up in the morning. I've never felt like I was going back in time but, I wish I could.
|
I never use the snooze button. I just set my alarm for the time I want and get up when it goes off.
|
XD I'm not sure if something like that has happened to me. I have experienced dreams that seem real and because they seem like they actually happened I tend to mix the events in those dreams with reality. Like if my boyfriend said I hate you in my dreams then I would be upset in reality believing that it actually happened. (That didn't happen btw, it's just an example.)
Those were a pain as a child because I would have dreams where I'd leave with my dad to some stranger's house and I would tell my mom about it and because I believed that what I dreamt was real she'd get upset with my dad. I felt so guilty once I realized that they were only dreams. X_X |
since high school
Well i have to say... I've been setting my alarm two hours before my START THE DAY mode goes into affect, and i still find my self half awake, staggering to my feet, pushing the cat off the coffee machine, fighting for the will to walk both dogs before the puppy drops her dignity on the kitchen floor, and still... hitting the snooze button about 3 times between these events. and im what they call a morning person.
|
Oh yeah, I've done stuff like that. When I'm still mostly asleep, logic is a myth.
I've woken up at 3 am before and thought, "Crap, I overslept, now I have to rush to get ready for school." But it didn't seem right somehow so I just sat there staring at the clock for awhile. Then it dawned on me: 3 comes BEFORE six, so I'm not running late and actually have three hours left to sleep. I do stuff like that on a pretty common basis. Waking up in the middle of night and trying to calculate how much longer I have to sleep and then being completely off. It doesn't bother me too much because the only important part of the equation is that I'm up and where I need to be when I need to be there. I'm kind of weird with my alarm sometimes too. When I finished school and didn't have to get up at six am anymore I still set my alarm and let it go off every morning for about a month. I loved the fact that I could just turn it off, think, "I don't have to get up" and go back to sleep. |
I ABUSE the snooze button. I have to set my clock super early, so I can hit the button over and over again. I often think my alarm clock going off is in my dream, and I can't seem to find the sound. So I have to have the volume like all the way up, so I'll wake up.
