I've always wondered about that too, and I don't know why people do it. I have seen it on other sites as well, but rarely do I see any other avs on Gaia in a sig.

I find it strange as well, that menewshans post gaian avatars.

I'm guessing that ever since gaia introduced their export avatar feature people could have wanted to take advantage of this feature and why not post it on a forum like Menewsha?

maybe people like their avatar, and show what they look like even if they have a different name on here.

its a signature. you can put anything you want in it as long as it follows TOS. i have seen other Avatars in from other sites placed in signatures.
why not make remarks about that?

i might put my own Gaia self in my sig after this.
they have the same name, but i intend to match both Avatars.

I've seen someone with their Menewsha avatar in their Gaia sig just the other day, actually.

Thy were clearly much more comparatively wealthy on Menewsha than they were on Gaia.

I think that's what it all boils down to, at the end of the day.
"Look at me! I might be poor on Menewsha, but I'm rich on Gaia!"

I kinda wondered this myself actually. This is my first avatar site so I don't have another to fall back on. If I do end up joining another, I don't think I'd put my Mene avatar in my sig there. I wouldn't want to be rude (as some people might find that being rude?) or I'd worry that someone at the other site would see my Mene avatar and be all "Menewsha sucks!" or something at me. LOL Plus, I'm just not big on signatures with a lot of stuff in them anyway. Scrolling's easier with text. That's just me and I'm not being critical of others for having whatever. I'm picky about my sigs and don't want what's in my sig to overshadow what's in my post I just made.

Even without the export feature, you can still direct link to your Gaia avatar and it'll still change. *shrug*

@1982-Lolita~ I'm not gonna repeat myself. e u e Lurk moar. And on Gaia, there are a lot of materialistic fucks. It's a harsh reality on that website, if you don't have items there, you don't get respect. It's not the same as Menewsha, and I'm sure you can agree with me there. Btw, I've never seen anyone on Menewsha post their Roliana or Zantarni avatars in their sig. I've seen people put "I'm so-and-so on Roliana/Zantarni," but never an avatar.

@Cherish~ Lol, maybe it was me. ;3 I put my avatar in my sig two days ago, but I didn't really post a lot. It was an experiment. And if it was me, I am "rich" on Gaia, but I like my avatars simple with cheap clothing. Most people don't even realize that I'm rich until I equip certain things. And, your last quote made me laugh, because that's what I think every time I see someone with a Gaia avatar in their sig. xD

@Bombshell~ I could see why some people consider it to be rude. The way I see it, things like this have the potential to start another stupid feud, but thankfully, it doesn't happen a lot. I am picky about my sigs too. It's kind of lame for me if I post like one sentence and I have a huge art siggy that covers the whole 500x500 limit. xD

Your avatar still looks pretty valuable though. xP

@Nissa~ That's true. No one from Gaia recognized my Mene avatar from it being in my sig though. <<; But, I suppose in due time there will be someone.

Gaians are often elitists and a bit mean and they just love to flaunt their riches in your face, especially if they are in condition of being newbies! I'm having the link to my profile because I love comments and here we don't have one but I'm changing my signature in an eyeblink. This is Menewsha and I'm proud to be here n_n
