So yeah, today was pi day at my school.
And my class was not learning about pi/has not learned about it.

So, we didn't get any pie! :evil:

@Andre: I think they do mean 3.141....., but that their schools were selling pies to promote pi. It's a popular pun. Not much of a discussion, though.

My school always had a "Pi Night." Students, for extra credit, could make a booth that people would go to. It had to be math related and if they could solve the booth they'd get a stamp on a circular piece of paper. and once you had enough stamps you could go to the cafeteria and get a free piece of pie! It was pretty cool. I miss my highschool sometimes. lol

Pi day was pretty nice for us. We had a party third period where people brought in anything(mostly pie) related to circles to eat.

We also got to pie some of our classmates during lunch to support freshman council. xD

My friend used to be able to say 150 numbers after the decimal point of pi. It was slightly creepy and you always wondered how he didn't have anything else to do, but hey, he's pretty much a genius.

Our school had a competition of who could remember the most numbers in pi and had to recite them to their math teacher. Who ever had the most got an iTunes gift card or something like that. xD

HAHAHA I totally didn't know until my friend told me. We'd nicknamed her Pi because of an inside joke and she told me it was Pi day today, and asked me if she should celebrate.

I totally told her to : ) I WOULD buy her a pie but I don't know how to drive to her college, it's 1.5 hours away.

Lots of students at our school brought in pies today, and I discreetly refused due to my restricted caloric intake plan, but I just ate some berry pie that my mom made ... and I feel so guilty! :oops:

We didn't do anything this year, but last year we all brought a different kind of pie and decorated them with numbers, the put them in the order of pi.

Pi Day! I found out that it was Pi Day around 2nd period, and I think it's a cute little holiday. Three-dash-one-four. Nothing big, but enough to put a brief smile on my face.
I got bored in one of my other classes, so I ended up writing "Happy Pi Day!" on the board. It was a good way to spend fifteen seconds.

Pi day is an EXCELLENT excuse to each yummy yummy pie ^^ I had totally forgotten that today was Pi day, but one of my friends came to lunch with a free Chocolate Satin pie I was just watering and waiting for it! It was so sweet and such. I think everyone would celebrate pi day with friends, it's good to remember the terror of math, but enjoy it's made up holidays.
