o.o;; That does sound quite creepy.
It was a good idea to give the guy a fake name. lol. I probably would have given my real one. >.>;; I can't recall a time where that has happened to me before. Except this one time at the restaurant I work at, I got a call from some unknown guy, asking for a prostitute? I was like, "wtf?" lol. Me:: Hello, (insert name of restaurant) Guy:: Ello? I looking for prostitute? Me:: ... Excuse me? Guy:: Yah, prostitute. You got what I need? Me:: *mumbles something incoherently and hangs up* I laughed with my best friend about it afterwards, but it was still awkward. XD |
Houses need a caller id ...and you gotta be careful guys
you never ever give any kind of information and when your parents are not home you lie and say an UNCLE is there but he is busy at the door or something (dont say he is in the bathroom) because you never know when you could be watch and they want to check who is in the house, so you never give info and after receiving this kind of calls it would be a good idea to actually call 911 or call someone like a friend or a neighbor, no I'm not overacting because of "just a call" there have been many cases in which that call was the beginning of something horrible, not trying to scare you but please call someone near or get out of the house or lock every single access you can think if it is at night ok? =) just some advice |
Ahh, I remember those creepy phone calls.
They (the callers) tend to call you baby, it's sick. The first time I answered to one I thought it was a joke. It was a bad joke indeed. |
Quote:
dammit >.< i wish those guys are dead :< lmao like.. complete morons :rolls eye: |
Well, at first we thought it was my ex pranking us, because we prank-called him.
But after much thought about it, it doesn't seem likely and the voice doesn't sound familiar at all. So it became kind of awkward. It's not the first prank call we've gotten either. There was another call that placed like this HUGE order, and something just told me that it was a prank call. I told the owner of the restaurant and convinced her not to start it. She finally agreed and said she'd start the order when they got there. They never did. |
You should never let an unknown caller know you're home alone. I'm 19 and I don't live with my parents anymore, but when I'm watching over the house for them when they're out and get a phone call for them, I always say that they're unavailable/busy and I'll take the message for them. Generally, the person just says they'll call back later and hang up.
Most of the time it's just local charities asking for money, but it never hurts to be careful. Um, but I can't think of a time I've ever been prank called. There was one time we got a weird message on the answering machine about a giraffe (WTF?), but that's it. |
Oh dear that is very creepy. Did you tell your parents? That would be very scary. You did good by not giving him any information. And hanging up on him.
I hate stupid creepy people on the phone. |
I got a random prank call at 5am three nights ago. -_-"
I really hate being woken up, and at first I was so disoriented that I couldn't even figure out what the noise was. I hit my alarm clock 3 times before I realised it was the phone. XD;; It was just some random guys... I think they picked a random number and called it. I was in a real daze so I just kept saying, "No, I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong number," but they wouldn't hang up. XP In the end I just repeated the one phrase I could manage, hung up then unplugged my phone. X3 Prank calls always really freak me out. I couldn't fall asleep again afterwards. |
There was this one guy with a heavy accent that kept calling distuised as a telemarketer. He asked ME for my e-mail, and kept telling me to MAKE SURE that I did not share the e-mail with my parents. Why would he mind it if I shared my e-mail with my parents, hm? -_-;

that must have been so scary.
I usually don't answer our phone if I don't recognize the number. Same for my cellie. @[email protected] But once when I was in 9th grade. this 40 year old drunk male called. And started talking to me. He apparently went to my school, and told me to look up year blahblahblah varsity football team for him. And started talking about how he had a big cock. So I hung up, he called back, and we talked about fishing. x'D It was weird, but yeah. Haha, sometimes those are the best kinds of conversations. As long as they aren't sober enough to remember they talked to you in the morning. :3 |
Well, thats really... creepy.
I doubt he knew your parents, cause than why would he be asking where you live? That guy needs to be slapped! D: |
I get a lot of random calls from people asking for this guy who must have recently gotten out of jail or something because .. They're always like, `` Eeey man you finally out? `` And I just kind of go with it, but tell them it's the wrong number. Then they call back. It's so annoying.

I had some disgusting video call one morning two years ago...by video call you can probably guess >.>;
I was freaked out and hung up, but they called back on just normal call so I answered, they were talking some perverted crap so I put my mum on who is like obsessed with jesus... So she started preaching to him which I found hilarious, he eventually gave up and never called again x3 |
If he tries to call you again, just call the cops. They can do that phone tracking thing, can't they?
I've seen too many movies. |
That is seriously creepy. D: That's never happened to me before, thank goodness, I would have freaked out.

A drunk guy called me this one time on my cell phone, around two in the morning. So all sleepy and stuff, I picked up the phone. He was all:
"Hey Jessica, wanna come over and have some fun." And I was all dazed and such. So I went: "No." And then after a two minute explanation from me explaining why not to call me I hung up and turned off my cell phone. Reasoning with a drunk guy is pointless. Anyway, the next day there was a message on my cell from him he was all: "Jessica, you're a naughty girl and i'm going to have to come over there and kill you." Which was all creepy. But i'm pretty sure it was this one kid I used to hang out with and his adult cousin, when they were completely wasted. |
If that ever happens again, don't tell the person that your parents aren't home, if he has your phone number, he can get your address. I'm glad that he only called back and nothing else happened, it was probably a prank because, why did he ask for your parents if he was just going to "hit" on you?
|
You're not suppost to say that you're parents aren't there! You're suppost to say, "They're not available."
Don't tell people that you're home alone!! I had a lot of people start calling me looking for someone else a few months after I had gotten my cell phone. I think someone was giving out a fake number that actually happened to be mine. I know they recycle cell numbers, but I had already had the phone for a few months and never had that problem before. Oh, and the people who ask what your number is when they call, or demand to know who you are. Okay, I'm not telling you my number. You tell me the number you're trying to call and I'll tell you if you've dialed it right, but I am not telling you my number. And you tell me who YOU are! You called me on my phone; I have the right to know who you are, but you don't get to demand to know who I am, ESPECIALLY if you're refusing to tell me who you are. I do not play these two games. That's the most interesting things that happen to me phone-wise. |
Ugh, that happened to me once. I'm not racist or anything, but I could tell it was this black guy by his husky voice and 'accent', he kept asking me if 'john' was there, but of course I was having a hard enough time understanding him. I told him he had the wrong number and he said, "Oh. Well what's your name?"
I told him it was like, Keara or something, and he started asking me all these questions like, where do you live--I said, 'a house'. He asked how old I was, I said 'old enough to be your mom' (which I'm really not...) and then he asked if I had a man, and I told him, 'yes, In fact he's just come back from the gym. would you like to speak with him?' (I'm totally not married...or even seeing anyone at the moment) He kept trying to talk to me, but I told him there was someone on the other line and hung up on him. It was...unnerving. |
My daughter loves to answer the phone, and I am constantly worried that is will be some creepozoid at the other end. Still, I have taught her that unless it is Grandma or Grandad calling, she needs to say 'please wait, I will get my mummy for you', and bring me the phone right away.
I can't recall any odd phone calls I have gotten myself at the moment, though I am sure there must have been some! |
wow that is really scary. I hope it was someone playing a prank ( as in just kidding around ) and not really a pervert. We live in a world of sick people, so you can't really be too sure or too safe anymore. I personally have never gotten any calls like that thankfully. Maybe investing in caller id would be a good idea for you. If you tell your parents what happened I think they would want to get it too. I have a cell phone so that makes it easy for me. If someone calls that is not in my phone list, I don't answer it cause if I don't have their phone number, they shouldn't have mine XD
|
i've never had some guy call like that, but i was walking home one day and some guy (he was maybe 20) who was walking by was like "hey, baby! how are you doing?" and i just kept walking, trying not to look at him.
|
eww that's creepy. i remember me and my friends prank called people at a friend's birthday party, but it was in fifth grade so we didn't have anything better than "this is brittney spears!!" or "is your fridge running?"
|
actually all he needs to do is look your number up in a phone book..and that will tell him where you live.
I think they shouldnt be allowed to do that anymore, list your last name AND address.. its scary, i used to get those too, but i changed my number, id get them every day at 8am, 12am, 2pm, 2am. |
