Cooking Mama (recipe added!)
You know you like cooking. My friend and I cook all the time. Every time we get together we cook up something. This time it was croquettes and I must say they were great. Our croquettes.
Do you like cooking? Cooking new things? Have you ever fiddled with the recipe just to see what it would taste like? Wanna croquette? I know I want another one! XD It's concoction time! Get to work! Quote:

When I saw the title, I was like...OH LOOK! There's a discussion about the DS game!! I really love the game, its so addicting and fun! (although, some recipes are extremely hard!) Kei, now back to the subject...>>;;
LOL. I should know how to cook but I never learned to... :oops: I really want to learn though! But apparently, I have knife-o-phobia and fire-o-phobia. ;] Cooking sounds fun! I wished they offered home economics at school >>;; Psh...I never fiddle with recipes...especially since I don't know how to cook. My mom does though, whenever she cooks (or should I say bake) she always does a rough estimate and adds extra things in there. It doesn't stop her cooking and baked goods from being good though! I want a croquette! Omigosh, the ones you made look so yummy!! *starts to drool* What are croquettes anyways? What are they made of? o_O |
It's like a potato chicken nugget. lol It's made with potato, meats (we used chicken and sausage), egg, etc...it's fried...YUM!

There was actuly a time when I was obsessed with it. I wanted all the resipes I could get my hands on. I never did make much, hardly anything, to tell the truth, but it was fun. I still have all those resipes in a trunk. ^o^; |

I love cooking. Well, not so much cooking as baking. Lol, baking comes so much easier than cooking to me. I absolutely love making white chocolate chip cookies. Yum! It's so good, especially when my sister makes it. All soft and chewy and sweet like. I'm craving some now. :] |
I love cooking. Making interesting dinners and deserts is a creative process like no other. Like the other day, i made crepes and they turned out AMAZING. I was so proud of myself ^_^
But I really like helping my mom out by cooking dinner, and i'm sure she appreciates it too ^_^ |

I do like cooking but I'm not very good at it, I need some MAJOR practice. @[email protected] Pretty soon I'm going to get a cook book and learn how to cook a bunch of good food! Because I'm almost eight-teen now and about to move out and whose going to cook for me then? Not my mother! I always try adding my own little things into the things I'm cooking sometimes it comes out really good or just reallllly bad. I don't really know what a croquette is but the picture of the ones you made look yummy. XD

I like experimenting in the kitchen, though some of my more successful foods have been totally accidental! Like the time I was stir frying some strips of capsicum (green, yellow and red) as a garnish for a steak, and wanted to put some African Seasoning onto the strips for added flavour. Unfortunately I wasn't really watching what I was doing, and instead I grabbed Cinnamon from the spice rack! The funny thing is that it ended up tasting great!

I LOVE croquettes!!! I had never considered making them myself before. When I was growing up, we used to buy them all the time and they even came with this delicious gravy too. My brother usually ate most of them >.> I haven't had one know in probably 6 months. You are making me hungry for one, which is not good. Its midnight where I live, and the only place open is Walmart and that is a good distance away. No croquettes for me tonight. XD

I am a good cook, I just don't like cooking most days anymore. But that sounds pretty good, I may have to give it a try. I am always looking for new recipes, some can get me out of my "I don't wanna cook" slump. |
I cook almost every day. last night, for example, I cooked Chinese-style Drunken Chicken, and stir-fried two different vegetable dishes.
I enjoy listening to podcasts while I'm cooking - it gives me something to think about when I'm working with my hands! =) |
Oh me too. lol although it's not podcasts I'm listening too...it's internet tv. n_n I like when their are noises in the kitchen.

Cooking completely overwhelms me. I don't know how people can make up their own/alter recipes like "oh, _____ would make this taste better." How do they do that? So it impresses me when people can cook, but I don't know how to myself. I do simple recipes sometimes, but I'm pretty good at screwing them up.
I'm a vegetarian too, so a lot of recipe books aren't useful because they're either meat recipes or gourmet fancy vegetarian recipes. I'm just glad I'm not a vegan, that would make things even more difficult...unless I had someone to cook for me :) . |
They look tasty. I love cooking, but really don't get the chance to do it much. I've been wanting to bake some bread, since I love the way it makes the whole house smell so yummy~ I might end up cheating and buying frozen dough, though, since it'd cost more to buy the ingredients since I've got, like, nothing on hand (blast you, tiny kitchen!). Not exactly real baking, but smells just as good. ^.^;;;

I like to cook deserts mostly. I never get time though. Plus I do not even like them but they are my favorite things to cook or make.. .weird huh.
I am more of a dinner type of person... I like meat and potatoes mostly. But I do not enjoy cooking dinner like I do with making cookies, candies and cakes. I like making them pretty like they look in magazines. All the pretty cakes like the teddy grams by the pool in the summer sun. Or the grave yard cake with little gummy worms coming out of the soil. But the taste of icing makes me sick to my stomach. Even to think bout eating it lol. It would be like eating play doh to me... it is fun to play with but taste nasty lol. |
