Food prices are already really expensive here so it's nothing thats really abnormal. You sort of just learn to grab as much as possible when it's cheap and then go without later on.

Food prices are going up because the United States is in a recession. People don't realize that on a massive scale yet, but uh. We are. And it's not going to end well.
The gold that backs our money is.. Well there isn't enough of it. So in order to remove surplus money from the system, taxing / raising prices on commodities ( bread, milk, eggs will go up too ) and on things that people generally can't live without... It.. Is an effective money sink to help get things back on the right track, so to speak. But I mean.. Let's face it. Capitalism. Once they realize they can make big bucks on it - they won't stop. And yeah, Min Wage won't go up to help offset the rising prices. I saw a gallon of milk for 8$ the other day.. It was glass bottled, etc.. Hand fed, blah blah. But everything else was 4$ or more. Good thing in my house we don't do the whole.. Milk thing. I do soy but not enough to need to buy it every few days. |
