Have you ever had a weird person contact you through MSN and striking up weird conversations? Just today... rather, 5-10 minutes ago, I was messaged buy a random person, claiming I was Bi because I was nice to everyone! I kinda sat back and took it all in. Rather amusing. P:

I actually tend to do that. Only when I'm REALLY bored and there isn't anyone else to talk to, but only to people with whom I talk to in the forums of any given site.

Once I was aim'd by a random person. He claimed that he was friends with one of my friends but couldn't tell me who...Lame...

The few contacts I have that aren't private get stupid IMs from random people sometime. Like this one kid was all ZOMG LETS BE BFF!!!!111 on Gaia or whatever, and I guess he added me to AIM as well. And then the next day, when I was actually logged on that nick, he messaged me asking who I was. :roll: WHAT THE FUCK you're the one who added me, kid. :roll:

So much for us being best friend, I guess. :'(

I hate random IMs. I mean... go bug someone you know. >.<
But basically no one knows my IM name anymore, and I'm always invisible to everyone but my boyfriend, so no one bugs me. XD

people randomly messaging me weird. I try not to get frustrated, but I'm easy to annoy in that concept I guess. But I feel bad when I forgot the owner of the user name Dx It's like "Who are you, and why are you talking to me?!"

And when I get someone that I don't know at all, i'm like "AHHHHHH!"

This weird person messaged me and he typed "is this Bosley?" And then i thought....what kind of name is Bosely?!?! So i typed "no" Then he was all like WHERE'S BOSELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? then i typed "aaaaaahhhhh!!!!!" Then signed out

I get all kinds of random IM's from people on Gaia, wanting to know if I'll draw their avatar. When I give them my price (20k an hour... and most decent art takes at least 5 hours to complete) they ask if I'll draw them a half-body, then a headshot, then a chibi. I keep telling them 20k an hour. They don't get that I don't do 1k chibis. >_<;

I also once had a random person from... Malaysia IM me on MSN insisting that I was her brother. She was talking in her native language. I'm like "What? I don't understand. D:"

Then I get the occasional "Who is this?"

I rarely get random IMs except for the bad kind. Once a long time ago a random guy IMed me on MSN. I really wonder where he found me. He sent me a picture of his penis and I of course proceeded to make fun of him and tell him I was not impressed and did not care to see it, and that that is what my boyfriend is for. XD I then blocked him. But it's annoying to get idiots like that. And creepy too because he doesn't know, I could have been some little kid he was showing that too. I could have been a man for all he knew. The other time, some weirdo was getting a bunch of people's MSN names from Roliana and then IMing everyone asking them to webcam with him. I kept asking him who he was and he eventually got mad and left me alone.

Oh, but one random person DID add me on Facebok..a couple actually and I think I remember one of them messaging me with something like "I don't know you, why'd you add me" when they added me first -___-"

Usually it's a contact I used to have on MSN though and had deleted because we never talked. Usually I forget them and am like.. "Uh.. who are you again?"

It's a real strange experience.

I'll occasionally find that someone I've never heard of is on my GTalk list, but normally that doesn't happen to me. The only client that's really for everyone to see is my AIM, and I never sign onto it anyway.

The only weird things that happen to me, are people I can't remember IMing me. And once a few years ago, this guy I was friends with gave me his screen name. So one day I see he is on and start to talk to him. Apparently someone else was on his name and kept insulting me and my friends. When I told him about it, he told me one of his friends had gotten his password.

something similar like that happened to me a few times. on aim, i would scroll through my buddy list and sometimes i would find people who i knew were not there before. i would im them and inquire as to who they were. then i would find out that they went to my school and were a grade lower than me or something. then they would find that i am on their buddy list too. very strange as neither of us really knew each other online or in real life, yet we both ended up on our buddy lists.

So I got a message from a random person asking me if I like Harry Potter and Lucius Malfoy and if I wanted to RP. It was odd.

I hate getting weird messages on MSN, AIM, by cellphone etc.
I usually don't have the time or patience to deal with strangers who message me at random. Especially strangers halfway around the world from me :|
However, for some strange reason, I ALWAYS seem to have randoms add me on MSN. And half the time, those "randoms" don't even speak English, so I always have to end up blocking/deleting them.

I sound like such a mean person~ xD

Random conversations are always the best.

And lying about your identity online is the best. It can be used for both friendly chats and unfriendly trolling.

Once a guy named Jason on my MSN list IMed me, and I talked to him for a while thinking he was my friend Jason on myspace that I talked to kinda often. Then he started talking about his boyfriend, and I was like, "WAIT... you have a boyfriend?!" because I knew Jason had a girlfriend and I thought he was straight. o_o He responded all surprised that I didn't know. After a few minutes, he asked me who I thought he was. Turns out it was a different Jason than the one I knew, lol... I don't even remember adding the guy I had been talking to. XD;

I did that to this guy I liked, and I would erase every little info about me, so the guy wouldn't know that it was me xD
And then I kept on saying I was his stalkeer, but i'm pretty sure he didn't belive me, so then I think he deleted me, oh well xD

I have had some of those...but not lately...usually if I go to a chat room on YIM I would get ALL kinds of them...and I would just sit in the game rooms too D:

You are so right, ICQ is the worst. I tried it out for a little while, and I got all sorts of weird IMs. Many of them were from guys who kept asking me for pictures to see what I looked like and wanting to call me or meet me somewhere. One was particularly annoying and I gave him a fake phone number and told him to meet me at some club downtown, which I was not going to go meet him at... Needless to say when he called the fake number he got the picture and left me alone. I ended up just not signing into ICQ anymore because I'd always get so many annoying men IMing me... It's like... I didn't get that thing to use as a dating service. :?

MSN is dead to me.

The types of conversations I had on there was absolutely meaningless.

Even when I wrote gibberish in an attempt to make them realize that I don't enjoy these kinds of conversations, (somewhat like a satire) they thought I was being serious.
