Meat is not my favorite thing but i eat it...i dont find it extremely wrong to eat an animal but i know that it is sad that we dont treat them as well as we could,i dont mind vegitarians or vegans it is their decision and i`m not going to try to change how people feel
|
Baja eats some meat. Only like from cows, chicken, and pigs. (Though, no bologna)
Baja doesn't eat anything like fish, sheep / lambs, calfs, alligators, or anything liek that. Though, i did taste deer meat once. |
Meat makes me sick so I don't eat it. I get a lot of crap for it because no one else I know doesn't eat meat, but the way I see it is that I don't try to make them not eat meat so they should just leave me alone. i would be a vegan, if I didn't eat cheese. I don't drink milk or anything like that because I find that gross too. I don't like the idea of eating animals anyway so meat making me sick doesn't bother me at all.
|
I try not too....
Normally I just eat chicken nothing else... besides vegetarian stuff... |
I'm a vegetarian, I have been for about 8 years. I was a vegan for almost a year but I went back to just vegetarianism though I am considering going back to veganism if I can get a job and pay for the foodstuffs myself. I don't eat animals because I believe it is gross, wrong and unhealthy. the way I deal with meat eaters varies based upon who they are really, sometimes I'll get into a morals debate with them but most times I'll just put up with their stupid, rude questions and get on with my life. XD when the meat eaters are my friends, I just occasionally tease them about eating dead animals, its a pretty sick concept if you think about it like I do. but no one else seems to, lol.. ^.^ |
Sometimes I eat meat and sometimes I don't.
I like the taste of meat, and I don't think there is anything morally or philosophically wrong with eating it. What I do find morally wrong is the way that the meat industry is set up and treats the animals. I think it is important for all creatures to live well and die well, and that just doesn't happen in the industry. Ideally, I would love to raise and/or hunt for my own meat, or buy it locally. I know that it disturbs a lot of people, but I find the idea of killing an animal myself to be very beautiful. I have no problems whatsoever with people being vegetarians or meat eaters. I do have a problem with people who give me shit one way or the other though. I'm fine to talk about it, but not to have people shove their opinions on me without consideration. That's generally how I feel about any topic though; I'm open for discussion but not for agenda-pushing. :D |
Well, I'm a meat-eater myself.
I LOVE meat! I love eating it, I love the texture, I love the flavour, I love cooking with it and the way that different types of meat soak up different flavours... and I love the way that eating meat now and then stops me being hospitalised due to my chronic anaemia. I don't mind if other people want to be vegetarians, I have every respect for them, however I have no respect whatsoever for veginazis. You know what I mean... the type of person that feels that they need to force their views upon you, or tell you that you're wrong for eating meat, and believes everything the ridiculously biast PETA videos show. What really annoys me, is the people that think ALL livestock are badly treated and live miserable lives; they are not. If you're willing to pay a little more, and look into where yur meat comes from, it's actually pretty easy to find farms where all the animals are treated and cared for properly. You just need to put the effort in, educate yourself, and not believe everything you see on the internet. |
If I didn't eat meat, there wouldn't be much I could eat.
I don't like cooked vegetables, aside from Corn and Potatoes. I don't understand why people are vegetarian because of the way animals are treated. You should protest against the farms and what not. Not eating any meat doesn't do anything to stop them :| *shrug* I don't have anything against them, I just don't understand it. I don't see where they're actually doing anything. As well, a lot of people I know do it for the attention, so... :|;; |
I eat whatever my mom puts on the table, meat included. I don't really have the option to become a vegetarian nor do I care to be one. Being a vegetarian is way too expensive if one doesn't want to get sick of eating the same thing all the time.
I have no issues with vegetarians or vegans, so long as they aren't trying to shove what they feel down my throat >.> |
I eat meat every once in a while, and only white meat. It's hard to resist the chicken fries they have at burger king , and plus I need protein xb I don't have a problem with people who eat a lot of meat or are vegans. It doesn't affect me much, so why bother them?

I don't eat meat.
We watched a video in my environmental science class that put me off the idea altogether. Factory farming is completely disgusting, and I can't stand the thought of livestock being raised like that - much less the thought that I'm supporting such behaviour by eating meat from factory farms. So I avoid it, and try to guilt my parents into only buying free range if they insist on eating meat. :3 I don't have anything against meat-eaters, though. If you think it tastes good and can bear the though of intensively farmed livestock, then by all means go right ahead and eat it. ^^; It's just not for me, and I'd rather it not be for my immediate family, either. |
I rarely eat meat, but I guess I couldn't call myself a vegetarian, and I tried being a vegan once, because I can't eat most animal protucts anyways because i'm lactose intolerant anyways, but my mom made hamburges and that was pretty much the end of that lol. The only cow I eat is hamburgers and other then that I really can't think of anyother meats I eat, other then hamburger helper, but I think that fallsunder hamburgers. . anyways I rarely have that anyways, and all my favorite foods are veggies and fruits, like potato's and mini cabbages, thats not there name, but I don't know what there called lol =].

i eat meat but i am not opposing to vegatarians
i am christian and so in the bible it says it isnt a sin to not eat meat nor eat it so there fore i have lil opinion on this......... |
I don't eat meat, but it has nothing to do with a love for animals, or disgust at how animals are treated in preparation to being eaten. In fact, I don't really like most animals, and I kind of hate the ones most people eat--chicks, cows, pigs. They're nasty. I just don't see what would possess anyone to put a LIVING THING into his or her mouth. It's not like a plant, which is just...a plant. It has no blood, no bones, no muscle tissue, no guts, no nasty stuff. Would you take a bite out of a chicken you see running around a farm? How is that different from cooking it, THEN eating it? It's the same thing to me, and grosses me out. I can't look at any animal and think, "Aw, it's cute!" then turn around and have one of the same for dinner. Isn't that hypocritical? Or just plain gross? o.O
My girlfriend likes meat, but I can't stand the smell of burning flesh, so she doesn't eat it at home. She basically only eats meat when we're at a restaurant or something, and it doesn't smell up the whole place as bad. |
Vegan is different than vegetarian, thought I might point that out. Anyway. I do eat meat, and I see nothing wrong with it. "OH YOU'RE EATING POOR DEFENSELESS ANIMALS OH NOES." My response to that is usually: have you ever heard of natural selection, survival of the fittest, the food chain? Humans and other animals are meant to consume meat as well as plants. Don't get me wrong, I have no quarrel with the vegetarian/vegan who simply just does not eat meat. For those that push their ideas or stare at you in disgust while you eat, however... those people need an attitude adjustment. Quote:
Plants are living, and there are plenty of gross ones. They don't have the same kind of muscle tissue, although vascular tissue is somewhat similar. Well, to argue your second point-- essentially, it's the same thing, except for two points. In the second situation, it's dead, and prepared so that we don't retract disease and it tastes better, obviously. And what's wrong with the second thing? People frequently call bugs cute and also squash the same ones into bits not long after. People who go to zoos are advocating the capture of animals but also call them cute, is that similar? It really isn't hypocrytical, eating meat is something that happens as a part of nature. |
I eat meat. I've been trying to cut it out of my diet more, but I need it, especially once a month i have to eat cow. I crave it.
Me, I have no problems with anyone and their choice in what they eat or how they eat. Some people still need to have meat in there diet, others do quite well never eating meat. I have Veggie and Vegan friends and do quite well with them, ad well it's not hard to make sure everyone can eat. |
I don't "deal" with vegans. I don't really recommend their eating habits though. While it may be very healthy, it is also a bit damaging really. I realize meat is not the only food that carries proteins. But anyone who is still growing especially should eat it. It's the same with breastfeeding. Sure, mothers can pump the breast milk into a bottle, or whatever, but it just isn't quite the same, as when the baby is suckling from them. And so it is with meat. When I'm older, I am thinking it would be ideal for me, but right now, heck no. I'm not an excessive meat eater as it is. Really, the only meat I have is in my salads, rice, sandwiches, and a little bit as a side dish. It's never necessarily the main course for me. I don't really like how long it takes to digest meat for one. It grosses me out the beef can take up to two weeks just to poop out. I like to be very regular (twice a day is good). So, that's my say on it. For those are a vegan, yay for you there's nothing wrong with it, you're not going to die. All the same, I can't say I really recommend going that route. I would say to anyone, greatly decrease your intake of meats, but don't put it off completely.

I eat meet~!!!
Especially chicken~!!!! :D But I'm not against vegetairians, nope-nope~!!! |
I used to be a vegetarian. But...well, about three years in, my body pretty much went apeshit on me. I don't understand why; I thought I did a pretty good job replacing everything in the meat I cut out of my diet...but by the beginning of the fourth year, it just...wasn't working. Looking back...maybe the number four really IS unlucky. >.<;
I still have a very strong preference toward free-range meat. I mean...what happens to factory farm animals? That is about as far from natural as you can get. *shudder* I'm sorry...but it does make me a bit squeamish. >.<; I have to say, too, I feel a bit jealous of those who CAN get away with completely cutting meat out of their diets and suffer no adverse health effects. D: I do have a great deal of respect for vegetarians and vegans...but I DO despise VegeNazis with the fire of a thousand hells. Just because someone eats meat, it DOESN'T make them an inferior being. It doesn't mean you should go and throw (usually fake!) shock images around or start complaining about how we're "sooo disgusting." Just a little shoutout to those who think like that - You make vegetarianism look absolutely terrible. Thank you, and have a nice day. :D But other than them...as stated, I have all the respect in the world for vegetarians and vegans, and also those who only eat free-range meat. It makes the world a better place, for both animals AND people. |
I am a meat eater. Yes, it is cruel that we eat animals for food but even if I don't eat any, it won't stop. I've been raised up eating meat all my life so I am used to it. I can survive without meat but then I am constantly feed with meat.
|
I'm having some problems lately.. =[
I've been kind of craving some meat! And I feel bad... I want to eat the meat, but I just can't! Like oh my god, this fish stuff on tacos.... Yum... But I can't! And chicken wings!!! Oh my.... *drools* I haven't had either in a long time, and I'm afraid the next time I am reacquainted with these foods, I won't be able to control myself. I mean, I haven't had cravings for meat at all until now. But I strongly believe in not eating meat.... Another problem is, I am getting really really skinny. I mean everyone is noticing it. The doctor said I'm underweight... Maybe I should just eat a tiny tiny tiny bit of meat every once in a while for health reasons? But... I know that I would just feel miserable inside if I did.... |
If you don't mind eating meat, I think it could be worth trying.
Though, I've seen meat eaters with underweight problems too. |
I um, can't eat meat. I don't mind when people do, but I do mind if someone who eats meat and knows I'm vegetarian chews it in my face with their mouths open to taunt me. Yes, people really are that immature. x_x I once ate meat, but it made me extremely sick.
When my mom was pregnant with me, everytime she ate meat, she threw it up. If she even smelled it, she threw up. Then...when I was old enough to eat solid foods...well, about two years ago I was leafing through my mom's old baby diary of me, and it said I didn't like meat whenever she tried to feet it. And I remember picking meat out of foods growing up. It wasn't until I was about 16 that I started to say I would become a vegetarian, but because of my parents...I didn't pull that off until I was 18. ^^; So I've been a vegetarian sorta-kinda my whole life, with the force-fed meat from before I turned 18 kind of making that...non-vegetarian. LOL. If that makes any sense. Most people in my family don't believe me. o.O; It's not like I can help it...it just makes me sick. ;-; Though I didn't have problems with fish, I quit that when I was 18, and admit...I went a little overboard on that one. x_x I miss fish now...but I'm so used to picking up soy meats and avoiding meat altogether I can't un-break the habit. But I crave it all the same. Beef, ham, poultry - those I never crave at all. |
"Meat is Murder! Tasty, tasty murder!"
I've several reasons for being an omnivore. (Not a 'meat eater' as vegetarians seem to think. There is in fact a difference) First of, I enjoy the taste. It's as simple as that Second, there are studies that show that it's actually more harmful for animals to be a vegetarian. The amount of land required to cultivate the vegetables/ fruit actually endangers more animals and their habitats than eating a burger. Ironic, no? Third, it's natural. It's the way our bodies have evolved. I understand that there are ways around this, however there are a lot of complications that can arise. However, I must admit that I refuse to eat veal. It's something that goes back a while. |
I don't see how if you're an omnivore, you're not a meat eater. The name 'meat eater', does not necessarily mean, that you only eat meat... That would be a carnivore. I use the term 'meat eater' for omnivores, because they eat meat.
I would have to disagree with you about that though. I'm guessing most of us could survive on plants only with just the farms available to us already. If not then most definately with the space of plant farms AND animal farms, to farm plants. P.S. I enjoy the taste of SOME meat as well... But that doesn't mean that I should eat it... |
