I eat mostly organic foods. I do this mostly for the health benifit of it. I tried to give up meat. Mostly because I just don't like the taste of many meat products, not for any sort of moral reasoning, though I can sympahtize with those ideals. I still mostly don't eat much meat, but I can't seem to give up seafood. I love fish and shrimp way too much to ever be a true vegitarian. I do eat really healthy though and have tried very hard to raise my children the same way. My girls especially love spinich, which other parent find amazing.

I eat meat some times but most of the time I just eat noodles. I love certain vegetables to like Broccoli and Spinach. Yummy. I manly just eat meat maybe once a day because my mom is the cook and loves meat so I don't have much of a choice.

heck yeah i love me some red meat!

I eat meat. I couldn't live without it. xD I love it.
I'm thankful that the animal gave it's life so that I could have a nice meal. In my opinion, that is what they are for though. I don't feel sympathy for the slab of meat on my plate. That's just silly. When a vegetarian comes to my house I dig out some salad and stuff and tell them to make what they can. xD I'm not good at making veggie dishes because I've never eaten veggies on their own. Or I give them a sandwich. Sandwiches are a safe middle ground. I don't have many friends that don't eat meat though. |
I eat meat, while I dont agree with how some farms treat their lifestock it wouldn't put me off my eating habits. My father is a Butcher so he knows what farms our meat is from and his boss would never purchase anything that has been intensively farmed, unlike the supermarkets their store cares about where the product is from and how it was cared for before slaughter. As for Vegans / Vegatarians, I respect their choice as long as they don't try and force their way of life upon me and as long as they don't guilt trip me about eating meat or that my father is a Butcher. |
I tried to be kinda vegetarian at one point. I gave up all meat except chicken... I don't feel sorry for chickens.
Then I realised I missed steak. I never went back. I want to try veal and venison, and squirrel and pigeon. And many animals are treated well, depends on your meat. Organic has a lovely flavour. |
I'm a meat-eater to the core. I do it because meat is delicious, humans are biologically designed to be omnivores, and being vegetarian/vegan is against my religion (Roman Catholic). Also, I happen to believe that vegetarians, vegans, and PETA members are idiots. Let the flame begin.
EDIT: Also, I'd like to comment on some misconceptions people have about Kosher killings. The reason the animal is hung upside down is so the blood rushes to the head and the animal doesn't feel pain. Decapitation is performed because it's a quick, relatively painless death. So even though the hanging and gushing blood may seem gruesome, it has practical and humane purposes. |
I eat meat. And I don't really care if others do or don't, as long as they aren't pushing their ideals off on me. I have friends who are or have been vegetarians and I do my best to accommodate them when they came over so that they'd have things they could eat. Also, I make one mean vege stew~

I don't...deal with vegetarians really since I only have one friend who doesn't eat meat besides fish and I can make them a salad or cook up some fish if they wanted. It's not a problem and I don't notice. I think it's fine if one doesn't want to eat meat since beef is really fattening and chicken is slightly more healthy. I don't see how there's a problem unless a vegetarian feels queasy watching someone else eat meat. |
Well I eat meat....not that much but I still eat it. Most likely chicken but beef is alright, I still dont eat much meat though.
|
I eat meat. Definitely. I love meat, and often end up craving it (that or cheese), whereas others in my family are craving sweets and suchlike. I honestly couldn't handle being vegetarian/vegan - I think I would probably go mad and then die...
I do feel terrible when I actually think about where my meat comes from - so I've sort of learned not to think about it. Same way I don't think about where my vegetables come from (though that's more just because I ...uh, don't? I don't know) - it's all just food to me. I do prefer boneless / pre-prepared meats, though, just because then it doesn't look like anything except food. Because I love animals (and have an oddly strong affection for "farm animals" like chickens and cows, for some reason, honestly), so... yeah, I pointedly don't think about it. I have mad pointedly-ignoring skills, I'm told. XD I don't really mind if others don't want to eat meat - whatever floats one's boat, y'know? - but I don't really like when they get all "O_o You're ...actually eating ...*gag* ...meat?" ... which they have. It was annoying, but didn't actually make me feel bad, honestly - it was more of a "Why, yes, yes I am. See how I proverbially rub it in your face as I continue to enjoy my meal?" sort of thing (I also have good anti-guilt skills, apparently). If they don't throw it back at me, I don't throw it back at them, though. Because then it's just uncalled-for. ;} ...And I'm going to sound like a terrible person, but I'm seriously totally craving red meat now. D: |
yes I love it
|
I'm a so called "Meat-eater" i guess, since i kinda need the protein that comes from the meat, but i don't eat more meat than i actually need to just live really.
|
Yes, I eat meat. I like meat. I had beef for dinner tonight. I like both meat and veggies. Then again if i eat meat of any kind, I want to have some kind of veggie to go with it. I actually can't eat meat alone.
|
I do eat meat, but I don't enjoy eating it. I don't like the taste, texture, all the work you have to put into cooking it....so I usually just choose not to eat meat, because I don't like it I could care less about anthropomorphic suffering.
|
Its bluntly honest that we were given canine teeth for a reason: Meat eating.
I agree with the poor treatment of animals before they are killed, but would you still eat meat if you killed an animal quickly and without torture? I'm not disagreeing with your actions, I'm just saying we are clearly meant to eat meat. It contains necessities that our body needs. Just eating it in large quantities isn't good, but a right portion is good for your body. |

I eat meat, and enjoy eating it. ^.^
I do not dislike people that do not eat meat, I feel sorry for them. Because soon enough, they will become very ill because they are not getting protein that is provided by meat. My mother was a vegetarian for about 2 weeks. But she soon became ill, and began eating meat again. |

I dot treat vegitarians any differently then i treat someone else. I may ask them a question or to about why how or something similar but there human just like me. Quote:
Honestly its a life style choice that you make. People on all the sides of this should look at the others the same way. Vegans shouldnt get mad at Omnis (People who will eat meat and vegies) nither should Omni's get mad at vegans or vegitarians for not. |
I was only a vegetarian for my health, not for the animals at all. I saw a video of a slaughter house, and sure the animal cruelty was bad, but did you see how filthy it was? Ugh! Now I only eat free range meat. |
I lurves the meat =3 |
I am a vegetarian. I don't mind people who eat meat or people who don't, it's their choice and their life. I don't try to push what I am on others either, it's just what I chose and what I wanted to do. :)
I hate it though when people are so ignorant about it and are rude to each other for it. Like some vegans and vegetarians are rude and try to push what they believe on others, and meat eaters who do the same to them. It's dumb and unnecessary. And I read some posts that had said man were made to eat meat and wanted to reply to it. It's true, man was made to be able to eat meat, but we are Omnivores, we can eat both meat and plants. So you don't have to eat meat if you don't want to. There are plenty of ways to get protein otherwise. And i'm not pushing my beliefs, just letting you know that humans don't HAVE to eat meat, but we can. So it doesn't matter. |
I am a vegetarian, have been for almost 10 years. I am perfectly healthy.
For the record: my boyfriend eats meat, we live together. We don't make a problem out of it. |
yes yes. I like a good burger with burger sauce and mushrooms on it. I can't live without a good grilled hot dog. I eat meat!
