..That I could not read at the coffee shop i go to, today.
So, I'm sitting there drinking my green tea, eating my dark chocolate and this drunk girls knocks over a display shelfs. The table I'm sitting at has a glass top.
Crash, and glass everywhere. Lucky nothing I was drinking or eating got affect, or I got hurt.
Drunk girl left, and all the res to of the costumers tried to help, but was told not, because it would be a liability to be hurt by the broken glass.
Fun, and no spoons, we can discuss things like big kids.

wow it's amazing that no one was hurt, what with glass flying. Then again I'm rather accident-prone so if there's broken glass within like 20 feet of me I will somehow manage to cut myself.

Yes, so was the works, and other ladies around me.
It's a very good thing no one was hurt. I like my tea without blood in it.

lol I can't believe no one could help. I mean yes I see that it could be a liablity reason, but still that's just odd.
Anywho, what happened to that girl? Public displays of drunken behavior is against the law..o-o' I should know. XD

People picked up the boxes, but as someone who also works in that industry, you have to shoo people off from helping.
She left, I have no clue what has happened to her, hopefully she gets a nasty hangover.

It isn't really all that hard to believe they wouldn't let customers help. If one of them got injured, there's a good chance they would sue the restaurant, people are so sue happy anymore.

That's why I said..."I mean yes I see that it could be a liablity reason." It makes sense in the end, but it's just weird for me to understand people not wanting help...I've never had to deal with situations like that. *is sheltered*

Its all of the idiots that are sue happy today that makes restaurants so friggin scared of their customers. Any small thing could happen and, oh, I'm gonna sue! For the love of god, shut up!! I hate when everything is ruined by some idiot that doesn't deserve to live.

They just let her leave? =/ I'm surprised they didn't at least try to get information and make her pay for it. I mean, usually if someone breaks something as little as a cup, they're freaking out. Well, that's how it is around here anyway. I guess the people in your coffee shop are friendlier?
Good thing the shelf didn't land on you or someone else and it was just a table.

Was probably not worth dealing with her.
most places I know will not freak out if you accidently break something. I had a friend by accident break a big and pretty glass display at this nice restruant. They comped her bill and gave her free desert in hopes that she would not sue or talk bad. So really, it's usually better to not bother getting said info and making them pay and just removing the glass.

They still live by the 'you break it, you buy it' thing around here.
How could she sue them for something she broke, anyway? I guess the same way you can sue McDonald's for having hot coffee. Eh, nevermind.
