Either when it comes to they think you are someone else or If they think your personality is something thats not you. Either way is annoying to me. Then once you get the chance to tell then who you really are they get all confused and stuff....What do you think?

People often think I'm American on my forums. It's really rather amusing when they eventually realize I'm not. Which is funny, because in person I've been told I'm french or from the middle east... *headdesk* I just despair.

Personality wise... a couple of people think I'm cynical when I'm not. They annoyed me at first, now I despair about them and wander off.

I guess I come off as being bitchy when I don't mean to be. I'm just very direct and people often don't know how to take me because I say things before I think about them. People often see me as someone that's knowledgeable too, which I don't consider myself to be. I've also been called Asian before when I don't even look Asian.

The lads down the road think I'm grumpy all the time because I won't go and clean their house or cook for them. I don't really know about anyone else because to be honest I'm not really sure who I am myself and I seem to be a different person depending on who I'm around.

One person decided I had mental problems because I'm atheist...

Oh I have that all the time!
People usually think i'm a real bitch and that I'd beat someone up just because I don't like that person.
I was like WHAT? when someone told me that.
Haha, i'm pretty much the opposite of that.

That doesn't really happen.

It just means that you act in a way that betrays your intentions.

For example my dad is very aggressive, shouts a lot but a second later when my sister's crying he says that he's sorry, he's not mad at all, he was just trying to get a point across. That doesn't mean that he's not an aggressive person, that just means that he can't control his actions well.

It happens to me often, this thing where people think I'm mean or bitchy or whatever - but I know that that's because of the way they act, not because of their "corrupted views".

If you want someone to "see the real you", then act like it. If you snap at people instead of offering them some brownies, they're not going to think you're a saint, for example.

The thing is, those are people I never talk to.
I come across them in the hallway at school.
I think it's my facial expression.

I never snap at people or yell at people.
Hmm.
I should probably watch my actions a bit more.

When I was in junior high, there were constantly rumors about me in school. And the thing was, I was far from popular and never talked to anyone. Yet for some odd reason I was this persona that people kept talking about. I supposedly went out even with one of the hottest guys in the school. XD Someone came up to me and asked me if I was, I was like "Uh...no?"

In the end I decided that it doesn't matter what they think, unless they're my friends. P:

Did they talk positive or negative about you?
I hate it when people just can't let others be.
I honestly stopped caring about what others think about me.
I never, ever cared about popularity.
But I'm just moderate I guess, I'm not one of the kids who you pass by and never think about again.
But that's also why a lot of people dislike me.
I've heard that a lot of people dislike me without knowing me, but when I confront them they always deny it.
Perhaps it's because most of my friends are serious bitches, haha.

It was both good and bad. It was surprising but yeah, now and then I would get asked the weirdest questions by strangers.
I'm not popular at all - but in high school my best friend was (he's still my best friend) the most popular guy in school (no idea how we ended up together) so everybody would pretend to love me when he was around, then not even look at me the day after. It was fun though. XD I died half my hair red once and the next day half the "popular girls" had it that way because my bestfriend thought it looked hot and they over-heard him say that.

I find it plain amusing when people want to be popular, or like people just because they're popular. It's so dumb, that beats the whole point of friendship - that's just superficial junk that you hide yourself for when you could be yourself and have real friends, you know?

So yeah, I'm like you in that sense - don't care about popularity and have lots of bitchy friends, tehee~!

Haha, that's so awful!
I know how two faced people act when you're around someone they like.
I have this one friend who I used to hate and always had arguments with for the past two years, then we were put in the same class.
So when I read her name I was like NOOOOO OMG T__T
But eventually we started hanging out.
She's one of the popular kids at school, but i've never really liked her.
Still don't to be honest. xD
But back then, when I saw her friends in the hallway they always shouted BITCH or WHORE when they were like 500 feet away from me, and now they're sucking up like crazy.
It's sad, I don't consider her to be one of my friends actually.

Haha, I agree.
I've heard so many people say how they're aspiring to be a "popular" kid at school.
But really, what's so great about being popular?
It's a lot more fun to have real friends who love you for who you are and not what you are. (:

Hahaha! So you know exactly how I feel! 8D

It might be awful of me but I assume that is someone wants to be popular they either have:
a) low self-esteem,
b) nothing to offer a real friend.

Mean, yes; but so has been my experience. If they already are popular and don't care about that (like my best friend), there's a higher chance of them being normal/cool.

I don't really give a crap what people think of me. =/

My best friends, family, and loved ones know who I am, so I don't care if random douches think other wise.
If it was loved ones who got some thing wrong about me, I'd be sad, and of course correct them.

Lul.
On menewsha and gaia, people don't know if I'm male or female.
I just tell them I'm both. ;D
It's more fun to be a mystery. c:
Close people know what I am. :U
Or if you see if I'm talking about something only a certain gender can have or whatever. xD

I agree, it's annoying when people think about you as something you're not =.=;;; I totally get what you mean. The people around me always tell me i'm nice and shit... o.O i'm like wtf, i may be polite but i don't wanna live up to the expectation of being nice.

People think I'm some sort of a drooling idiot because I have Aspergers, despite the complete opposite being true. I consider those people the true idiots since they don't want to even bother to type one word into a search engine and hit the enter key.

People also think I'm male because "I type like one". That I don't care too much about because it's fun seeing them eat their words when they see a photo of me and realise I'm a woman.

I doo! (:

hmm.
That's pretty true, and the ones who are popular often have a bit too much self esteem.
But of course there's normal kids out there, not much but still.
Haha, this crap will be over in two years when i'm finally done with school though.

I hate when my friends tell me or other people that I speak my mind. When they tell things like that I'm almost like "o _ o Are you high, man??" I've never spoken my mind in my whole entire life. I may tell you your hat is funny but that's it, I almost think they're getting me confused with my dad.

Most people I know think I'm quiet and anti-social, but I'm totally not.
I just hate the idea of intruding, butting into things that have nothing to do with me, etc.

Because of that I spend a lot of time alone, unless someone else actually asks me to join them or whatever.

And they assume I don't like going out and partying, but I do really, I just don't know anyone else who can have a good time without being totally drunk, and won't abandon me for some guy they met, and I wouldn't know where to go even if I did.

My ICT teacher in 6th form told my parents I was anti-social. I sat at the computer next to the door, was last in and first out and there was a two computer gap between me and the rest of the class. I wasn't anti-social I'm just not going to talk to people who I don't want to plus some of the ones in that class used to pick on me in high school and the others kept trying to sell me weed...it's not like they wanted to talk to me either anyway, unless I was buying weed or telling them how to do something on their computer...

Same here~

Everyone thinks
that because I'm Asian [well, half]
and relatively smart,
that I'm super responsible, mature,
and... submissive?

Which is kind of the opposite of me. >.<

I'm one of the least mature people I know.
And I'm really really stubborn~
