New taste of Sprite
 

Alright, I'm a fan of Sprite. I didn't used to be; in fact, I used to hate it. But after falling ill several times and stomach problems following me around (I always have stomach problems, though sometimes it gets really bad), I could really only drink Sprite because I'd gotten sick of Gatorade (to the point that it made me nauseous) and drinking our tap water makes me ill.

So Sprite it was. It had an odd settling effect to my stomach, and I could hold it down even when I was sick. The taste even started to grow on me.

Well, recently we bought three twelve packs of Sprite. But when I drank one, I noticed it was sweeter, and it made my feel a little off. I didn't understand why until I got another one a couple hours later and noticed the box. They'd changed their flavoring to all natural.

Honestly, I liked it the way it was, and I don't like it now. Now I have all this Sprite I have to drink (and slowly, as we can't afford anything else to drink other than water until pay day) and it tastes disgusting. When you're eating and you drink it, it completely changes the taste of the food, unlike the old flavor of it.

I hate this new flavor and I was wondering if anyone else hated it too. Or if anyone's even noticed the difference.

It's really nasty. Any thoughts?

I thought it tasted the same.

Well, I don't really like the sound of it being sweetened but I supposed
all-natural is supposed to be a good thing.

It's not a good thing. Not when it's Sprite. It's disgusting. And the change just happened a couple days ago. So I don't know if you've tasted the new stuff or not. I guess it depends how long it takes your local stores to sell the remainder of the old Spite.

But god, it's awful!

I hate Mountain Dew. T__T And 7-up. I like Sierra Mist a little bit, but not much.

I haven't had Sprite in awhile...

It's sweeter? I'm unsure of what to make of that. :/ I liked Sprite the way it was. ^^; I'll give it a chance though.

(I would be so sad if it changed and I didn't like it! I drink it to settle my stomach sometimes too!)

Well, sadly, the stomach-calming effects of Sprite have been destroyed for me by this horrible new taste. I'm a picky eater - things that taste nasty to me hurt my stomach, and I have a sensitive stomach on top of that. @[email protected]

Same kinda goes with drinks. But for right now, it's the only thing I have to drink. So, I'm kind of stuck. When I first had it it actually upset my stomach. Ew.

I want my old Sprite back!

I have an ubersensitive stomach too.
Though I've never ever liked Sprite. I take other things to calm my stomach. I had candida a few years ago. Candida feeds off of sugar so I'm totally put off by the taste of it in large amounts - it's also what gave me the stomach aches!

I dunno. 'All natural' is never a true thing. Hope it goes back to normal?

Wooah, there is a new flavor of Sprite? Gee, i've been living under a rock.

No, it's not a "New flavor" of Sprite. It's new flavoring to the old Sprite. They went "All natural" with the flavoring.

I haven't seen anything about it other than on the boxes the cans come in. Not even the cans themselves say anything about it. It's nasty, though. Horribly horribly nasty (I will continue to say this).

Except for Ginger Beer. Because that stuff pwns.

I've never had ginger beer. I probably wouldn't like it. I can't stand ginger. Ick. >.<

Really? I love ginger everything. gingernuts, ginger tea, gingerbeer, ginger-flavored ice cream...

You're missing out on a lot.

I have a sensitive stomach. Ginger upsets it. I'm not really missing out on anything except a bad stomach ache.

Ginger is actually supposed to help it - in small amounts.

I never like soda anyway. All the carbonated drinks really. Except tonic water and something else (i dont remember what)

haven't tried spite in ages..they should bring out another flavour, like a vanilla one like cocacola did <3

Well, I had Sprite last week and it was fine, too. It was just a couple days ago. Not last week.

And it's pretty easy to miss any sign-age (I don't know how to spell that word T__T) that may announce the difference.

I don't think a lot of people will notice if they don't drink it often. But I drink Sprite and Dr Pepper like water, so I notice any changes right away.

Sprite's been good for soothing my stomach too. :]

Is it really that bad? I'll have to go try some.

Yeah, it's really that bad. But make sure you know for a fact what you're tasting is the new flavoring and not the old stuff. It's nasty. >.<

Oh well.. at least I (drank?) it because I liked it. I usually use ginger ale to settle my stomach, in teeny tiny sips, if I need a drink at all.
Usually when my stomach is upset I drink hot mint tea.
Well here's hoping I like the new Sprite flavor.

I don't like sprite, or mostly soft drinks, I think they're disgusting. However, I do like vanilla flavored coke :) I only taste the differences in water, but sprite has changed a lot.
