@Morien: :3 or maybe you can make a little banner with an explaination of your name.
@Sutebu: Really? What's your first name? LOL, I guess it's too late to worry about specifics now that you've already made your account, though i think if you PM a mod or someonethey can change your name if you have a good reason. @Reena: Oh yeah, Latin is incredibly useful. It's the root language for just about everything in europe, so if you recognize latin you can recognize most words. |

@Lantern: Well, I've been using it for years in other places too. xP My name is Steve. |
I chose this name, because it's in my dream language, Welsh. I think it fits me, I mean, my other account has also the same meaning of "leaf" only it's in Quenya. I love nature, I LOVE leaves. My real name, I haven't always like the first bit, but I've come around over the years. My name, my mother made, and of course she didn't know that half of it means "hill, earth". So it's aaaaallll good!

There are two 'Beth's in our class so I decided I would be "Beff With An F" =D People in England usually say 'Beff' anyway. xD The other Beth's nickname is 'Bethnal' - Named after a place in London. My online alias used to be 'Alice in Wonderland' and some of my real life friends that I've met via the internet still call me Alice. ^^ |

My name is more common than it was when I was born. ^^ It means 'House of God' or 'Most Loved'.
I've never met anyone called Erica. =O Well, except you. xD |
Captain Howdy is taken from the Exorcist, which in my opinion is the best horror film of all time. :P Near the beginning of the movie, Linda Blair's character Regan is playing with a ouija board and communicating with a spirit calling himself Captain Howdy. That's before all the floor peeing, furniture flying and projectile vomiting. Y'know, all the fun.
It's delicious. Oh... and my real name is too prosaic so it's better left unsaid. |

My username comes from a member of a Korean group that I like called Super Junior. His name's Yehsung (he's the one with striped shirt and grey hat in my signature), but I have a tendency to call him Yehsungie (probably from the excessive amount of fanfiction I read ^^; ) I'm really bad at coming up with usernames, so I just shortened Yehsungie to Sungie and stuck the x's in. ^^;
My real name is Erin and it means Ireland or Of Ireland. I guess it suits me, since I am part Irish. The only thing that bothers me about it is that everyone spells it Aaron, which is the masculine spelling of it. It drives me crazy sometimes. I've even had people ask me how to pronounce my name. It always surprises me, because I know that it's not that unusual. There were 3 other girls named Erin in one of Psych classes. |
My name came about ages ago. I was going through a bishounen phase, so that's basically where it came from ("Bishielurfer"= Bishounen Lover). After that, I used it for everything (mostly because it made it easy to remember XD).
My real name is Autumn or Kitty. Autumn is my given first name, and it's the season. I think it suits me because it's the season of change, and I'm always shifting emotions and personality. Kitty is my middle name, and I frequently use it as a first name. It suits the other side of my personality--the less serious, playful side. You can usually gather my mood by the name I refer to myself as. If I'm solemn, or depressed, I go by Autumn. If I'm feeling goofy or happy, I'll go by Kitty. XD One person actually thought there were two different people. It's hard to say if my online name suits me. I'm not so much into bishies anymore, and I'm a lesbian, soo....o_O Though I've yet to find anyone else who goes by it X3 |
I picked "Untitled" because I was feeling uncreative. A while before I made the account here, I started using it when I couldn't think of something better--easy enough to remember, and still mildly ironic.
My real name is Maria. It means "bitter," but what more immediately comes to mind are the thousands of songs, and the literary characters with the same name, like in The Sound of Music, West Side Story, and many in the bible with the English variant. I really don't care about it much, but I did a little thinking a while ago about the general sound of the word--it's too plain and soft to suit me, I think. Find a way to get a hard vowel in there, like a k, or ch, or v, and maybe it'll work. But on the plus side, it has irony. |
Saa... Meko has been my online nickname for probably 13+ years now. Even though I kind of want to go by something else now I doubt it would be easy to change it after so long haha. I chose it because I think I was 8 or so and thought it was cute.
My English name is Stephanie which means 'crown,' but that's not what it was chosen for. I was named after my father, Stephen. I don't like this name, particularly when I was younger, but since then I've just admitted defeat and go with it lol. What can you do when you've been named after someone else? My Chinese name is legally romanized as Wing-See, meaning 'singing a poem' in Cantonese. I never really liked this name either but that's probably because the Chinese name was only brought out when I get into trouble when I was a child lol. In this case there was also a naming pattern. My father is Wing-Kurn, my uncle is Wing, my half-sister is Wing-Yee, my younger cousin is Wing-Sum. So we were, once again, named after our fathers. I'm not sure if this was entirely planned or not. And my self-given nickname is Shira. After Shirayuki-hime 白雪姫 (aka Japanese for Snow White) for my white peachy skin. I plan on using this name when I go to Tokyo later this year. ^^ |
I chose Masquerade because I am a giant My Little Pony fan and collector. Masquerade is one of the prettiest ponies in the first line, in my opinion. She's a bright yellow with many colors of green and blue hair, and she has green jewels for eyes. I've tried to put lots of green and gold in my avatar in order to reflect the name choice, at least a little bit.
It has the additional bonus of being the title of a song from Phantom of the Opera, which is one of my favorite musicals. Ever since I got into pony collecting, I've been trying to use this name online. I'm on two or three forums and a few other websites under this name or some variation of it. I haven't yet grown sick of it. |
I was sitting in Economics class with a blank piece of paper that I was suppose to be using for "notes" when I got bored of listening and began writing on the paper.
It started off as a couple doodles on one side and the other had this printed on the back: DEAR MR. PAPER, I OWN YOU. LOVE, MRS. PAPER -- I like my real name. I have no idea what it may mean but I like it. :D |
Im not sure why I choose to use NoStarDies |
narcissa is my real name  |
Well, my real name is Evelyn and on other sites I usually go by either Evee or Dizzi since those are my two favorite nicknames. I chose Hime because I think it's a pretty word and I love the song. ;D Plus I was lucky enough to get it before some other lucky ducky did. I think it's a cute username and I think I'm going to base my avatar's outfits with a princess-like scheme. I don't think my online alias with Hime suits me at all since I'm the bit of a princess at all. D; I'm more like the royal harold or something.

My real name is...boring. Depending on where I go to look it up, sometimes my name means to tie or trap, and sometimes it means servant of god. I don't consider myself a servant of god and I certainly hope that the people around me aren't sticking around because I trapped them. I'd like to think they hang around because they actually like me. :XD I do like my nickname though. I'm not sure if it means anything different.
My username comes from my truck, actually. When my uncle gave it to us, it always did this weird rumbling thing, like thunder. We took it to a couple mechanics, but no one could figure out what it was. Years later, it still does it every now and then. We never did find out what causes it. Anyway, I just thought the word sounded cool. I like my truck, and I like listening to thunder in storms. It's also short, sweet, and easy to remember. |
Because it's my real name.

My screen name symbolizes my life goal to escape the Wheel of Samsara, in a sense (although I am not primarily Buddhist, but, rather, Gnostic) and achieve gnosis (Greek for 'knowledge') - that is, experiential knowledge which will furthermore increase my inner, divine spark and therefore fully know myself, and connect with my consciousness - beyond emotion, feeling, thought, &c. Phew. O.K.!
My real name is Alex! NOT Alexander, but, of course, it is derived from such. My name means 'defending man,' which was borne after Alexander the Great, kind of Macedon, of course. |
Mine came from a character on "Sheep in the Big City". It's a play on words, generally outrageous. A lot of their characters are like that, such as General Specific and Private Public.
My real name is Kevin meaning "kind", "gentle", "birth", and "handsome". They fit most of the time because I tend to be reluctant to use force and try for a peaceful solution to a problem. The birth its because I like creating things. I'll let you judge the handsome part. My middle name is Gerard, meaning "spear", which fits because when necessary, I will attack. |
Well mine is kind of obvious where it comes from unless you know nothing of ancient Rome. I just womanized (?) Julius Caesar's name. I found it quite clever. His daughter's name was Julia though. Maybe I'm her. xD Anyway my real name is Julia. i
