Rapiers are my favorite weapons. They're so elegant, and the hilts are gorgeous. I really wish I could learn to fence, but I don't even know where they would teach it around here.
Also, I like sword-canes. I'm not sure if there's an actual name for them (wiki says yes there is, and it's swordstick). They always remind me of the fourth Lemony Snicket book, because I'm a nerd, but they are seriously super-awesome. |
I'm always quite partial to magical artifacts/magical weapons. I also have an affinity for bows/longbows.. they seem very elegant and are pleasing to use, both in real life and in games. Katanas too, now that I think about it.
Claws are also very nice. :D Rawr. *slash slash* |
interesting thread i would have to say mine is a six inch curved blade that can be confortably changed from forward and backhand (most likely going to be custom)

Guns. Love guns.
Bows are OK... they have the speed and all that.. But Guns are my all time favorite. |
For pretend, I like magic! ...And giant mallets aren't half bad... :P
For real, I like bows (archery bows NOT crossbows) and swords. I have a fondness for rapiers, they're so elegant, yet deady! (Deadly elegance, anyone?) Though I do love the the power that broadswords convey as well. |

In real life I'm a fan of the double headed axe and the schmiter. In rp's, I seem to have an uncanny ability with the spear. They are all incredibly fun!

My favorite weapons are Spears and poleaxes, Also Long Scythes! Though long scythes don't really seem to be traditional or well rounded weapons, I love the deadly look and I love trying to make up new styles. I also like Pikes...which are pretty much spears...I don't really like Chinese type spears because they seem super flimsy but I would use one if I needed to.

I like a lot of different types of swords, such as the Claymore and the Katana. I also like bows and other projectiles.
I also kind of like the police issue handgun. That's the only thing my father owns. It seems to be well built and pretty easy to use. He still won't teach me to shoot, though. :sweat: |
I think it may have been roxas and axel off kingdom hearts, or my inner sadist, but I like dual blades/weapons. Double the weapons means double the blood :D plus I'm easily distracted, having two weapons will mean I can divide my attention between two sides and not have enough brain power left for distractions. Unless you call shiny swords flying at your head a distraction o.O;;

I think it's the curved blade that gets me, even better if they're double-bladed!! Though i must say, it's the oddities that i like the most. Demonic rubber ducks, possessed baseball bats, you name it. If it's weird, it's good with me! :'D |
I like the sword breaker, it is a weapon with slots to catch a blade in, when you twist, it yanks the sword out of the opponent's hand, or if he has too hard a grip, it will put pressure on the sword's middle where it is least tempered and break it.

In RPGs and other make-believe stuffs, I prefer a huge elegant/fancy sword twice the size of my person. Though I also like to have a very strong destructive magical force.
BOOM :angel:. Though I also like having guns of all types. Si-fi laser guns and/or regular machine guns :heart:. In real life, I like hand-to-hand combat and fighting with staffs or other wooden objects and i would like to try out using a whip but I've never got around to it :yes:. |
In real life, I'd have to say bow and arrow. I've tried it, and I don't totally fail at it, so... In video games though, I almost always go for the swordsman. I absolutely LOVE fighting as Ike in SSBB.

The fact that they are long ranged and are quite deadly if used in the right way is a very lovely benefit. Twin scorpion blades are my absolute favorite weapon of choice, besides dual cat tails. Cat Tails, for those who do not know as to what they are, are very long whips with cattle-trops//sharp pieces of metal on the ends. Every time a lash is landed, it digs and rips through the person's skin, making the poor soul bleed profusely. If the whip is dipped in a citric component or another chemical, such as salt or something that makes your skin blister, then the person probably wouldve screamed at the first lash and begged for mercy. I have a pair of Katana's, Legolas's Dual Daggers, A pole hiding two double edged blades in them (both are at least 12in. in length), A black steel butterfly knife, a few flip knives, and a horde of throwing stars. I plan on obtaining more as I go on. :) |
My favorite weapon would have to be the Crescent Knife. The movement used when using this weapon is similar to that of dancing. It's graceful, elegent,and surprisingly it's also very deadly. This weapon small in size can surprisingly protect one from an attacker that have a spear, staff, saber, and even the sword. They are exceptional tools for disarming attackers. I'm also very found of clawed gloves. There simply amasing. I think the clawed gloves and fans are great for attacking and defending. The gloves just seem to make one seem more animalistic. Another one of my favorite weapons would have to be a Bo Shurikan. I mean there a concealed weapon whats not to love. I mean it just screams undercover ninja/assassin. I just love that all these weapons are graceful, elegent, and mezmerizing when being used. Mattering on who's using them.:sweat:

It depends what mood I'm in I guess- I really love all kinds of swords, but i do have a soft spot for scythes- and those tend to be more character/avi orientated. In real life i would love to learn about guns - and acutally martial arts so that I am the weapon lol |
If I had to fight, which I hope never happens, I would like to use my hands and feet. I think this way because i am a martial artist, (Tae-Kwon-Do) and I think it looks cool and seems less messy, depending on how you use it. I love watching martial arts movies with Bruce Lee and Jet Li. I do like swords and bows though, which I got from the Lord of the Rings.

Well, I play WoW alot and that's where I found my favorite weapon style. In game they are considered as swords, though I don't see them as such.

For brutal slaughter, I'd hafta go with axes.... nothing like chopping your opponent down quickly and messily.
For fun though... I'd hafta go with dual blades... any kind of blades. Katanas... swords... daggers. For quiet work though, I'd say a good small dagger is best. Quick, clean, and effective. |
For playing videogames, I'm a mix. I love staves since I love to use mages, but on a game like Soul Caliber, I often choose someone like Talim, because not only does she have those wonderful tonfa-blades, her speed and agility could be considered a weapon.
As for real-life tomfoolery and live-action roleplay, definitely long staves. Similar to Kilik from SC. But I'm very interested in learning archery and fencing. |
I suppose in real life, I'd say a sniper rifle. Fighting takes too much effort. I prefer making people do the dirty work for me. :P
In games... If it's MMORPGs, I like ranged characters, so it's usually a bow or staff, depending on whether or not I pick a magic-based character. Games like Soul Calibur, I like spears, staves, halberds or scythes (Seong Mi-Na, Zasalamel, Kilik, etc) also for the long range. In anything else, it depends on the character design. If it looks good with the outfit, it fits. |
I don't play video games and most of the character I draw are not warriors, but when I am role playing a character that needs a weapon I usually arm them with throwing stars or knives. Most of the time my character are more about defense than offense and do not like to inflict large amounts of physical pain on others. They are usually not ninjas, but martial arts trained spies. I know it sounds a bit strange, but because my characters are usually like that I really like throwing stars and knives.
