My mom definitely says that to me too!!
The most recent instance where she said that was when I was buying a new MP3 because my old one was really old and crappy (it could only hold 100 songs >_>)
Anyways this new one I was buying was very cheap considering it was 8GB but my mom still thought I was throwing my money away to buy it and told me it was a waste.
