Alright, first off, this isn't an attention seeking post, not unless you count me dressing as i usually do and mowing the front garden for mum attention seeking.

Alright, first thinsg first, i'm somewhere in between labels. I'm some hybrid of a Gothic Lolita and bizarre heliophobic creature, so when i do dare to venture into the sun, its generally for something quite important.

This time, mum needed to do the mowing, and seeing as she has some form of rheumatism in her elbows i said i would do it save her hurting herself.

I wore my lace blouse which is cut off at the arm, my lace oversleeves (to protect my moles) and my black lolita skirt, admittedly, not gardening wear, but it was unexpected.

I put a sun hat on and went out to mow the grass.
The amount of people staring at me. Children, i can understand, but full grown adults!
I'm like: Dude, i swear to God, i will not hurt you. I just like to wear black!

Do you wear odd things and get stared at?
Has anyone ever said anything to you?

I wear either drab or tacky clothes. My favourite is a tacky button-up shirt with sleeves too long for me. Whenever I go out, I look like a kid with her mom's jacket... or a serious fashion emergency.

My friend thinks it's a talent of mine to make anything look dull. Too many times have I seen her facepalm at the sight of me running with oversized sleeves. I've been mistaken as a lost child more than once -.- Can't really help it if I'm short.

I don't get it why people would stare at others because of how they dress. Some of my schoolmates wear all black and others have the colours of the rainbow vomitted on to their clothes, but no one finds any of these people weird at all-- it's part of our modern culture, where individuality is respected. Now, if you were wearing lingerie with a fish on your head, then that's a reason to get stared at. XD

My husband and I went out to eat a couple of weeks ago. I put on my sleeveless cowel neck top, a pair of capri's, and a pair of high heel sandals. We went to the restaurant and I look over, there's this stupid girl looking at me and laughing, my only thought was "You wish you looked this good bitch". Seriously, my outfit was nothing unusual and no one else batted an eye, just this one stupid girl, even the people she was with didn't see what she thought was so funny.

I dress how i want and feel comfortable. I don't care if people don't like it, but staring makes me mad.

lol, I couldn't care less if people stared at me. Heck! If I had the money, I'd wear gothic lolita and other dark clothes all the time. I have an awesome looking black trench coat that I wear a lot at school. I used to get many stares, but after a while people just got used to it. I've made a few friends by wearing it, and a few friendly acquaintances. Though, one time someone was like "Why is she wearing a Dracula cape?" I don't see how you can confuse a cape with a coat, seriously.
I also like to wear a cat collar from time to time. Though people get that confused with a dog collar. It's more understandable than the cape/trench coat confusion, but JEEZ people! Pay more attention! Yes, I understand that there are smaller dogs, but this one looks more like it's for cats than for dogs (even small dogs). Well, in my opinion it does at least.
It's funny, these people who get confused with my choice in clothing, are the same people who act as if they know everything about fashion. *sigh* I find it sad sometimes.
...........anyway, yep, I have a style that's not really odd, but different than most. ^-^ I wear what I like, who cares about what others think anyway? I find the fashion (at least in the U.S.) a bit boring, so I want to become a fashion designer, so wearing different clothes is expected from me ( expected by me anyway lol).

lol I also find staring rather amusing, so I wear odd clothes to count how many people stare. xD

I have pink hair. I catch people staring at me all the time, but only when they think I'm not looking.
What I do, is I look over, and I stare right back at them, but not the confused stare that they give me, but my confident stare.
But you know, I don't mind too much. I mean, I'm the one that is being visually weird so I totally understand why they would stare. But man! They get so embarrassed when I look back at them like they are ashamed or something.

My friend wore pink hair to my nans funeral, when my cousin scorned it i said: My nan would love it. So should you.

I'm used to odd stares. People will look if you're wearing something "out of the norm". During renfaire season I'm commonly out grocery shopping or doing other various things in full elven garb with my elf ears and all.

I actually like it when I get odd looks, it means people are actually paying attention to things other than themselves...which is a rare occurance nowadays.

Oh pah-shaw lady! I wear odd clothes all the time! People will stare because their are either one of three things.
1. SUPER JEALOUS! Because A) they are envious that you wear what you want without fear! or B) you totally look hot. XD
2. They think your clothes rock hardcore.
OR 3. They've never seen anyone with your style or boldness. Which can be either good or bad...

Next time that happens just smile and wave. No one will say bad things about the oddly dressed girl because she's so nice. XD
