My house is being invaded by carpenter ants. -_-;;
And it's never just one that shows up- they usually come in teams of three. Sometimes they're little. And sometimes not. Dx
I hate killing things, so I always let someone else do it. But come on, now, the summer has barely begun and we're inundated with the little buggers!

Have you ever had a pest problem? Do you like squishing little buggies who have innocently wandered into your home?

My house is being invaded by ants, too. I'm not quite sure what kind they are.

One day, my friend came to pick me up for Taekwondo, and she pointed out that they were all over the door. I wanted to spray them to death, but I couldn't find the ant spray and we were late as it was. >o> *grumbles*

They're starting to leave, though. Or at least, I don't se ethem wandering around my desk anymore.

I can't even walk away from my soda without worrying. My mom always finds them swimming in her glass when she comes back.

@Dystopia: I hope they start to leave soon for me. Were they big or really little?

I'm starting to have that problem too. Mostly we are getting a ton of these itsy bitsy ants, but ever so often you see this really gigantic one and it's creepy.
I once lived in an apartment where I found the entire nest. It was nasty and terrifying. All I could see was this big black heap in the corner of one of our closets which I thought was dirt. Of course, on closer inspection I realized it was moving. So, needless to say, I flipped out. Just be glad you are only seeing a few here and there.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Innocent? :sarcasm: They are evil, don't be fooled. I feel no remorse whatsoever when I kill a bug in my home. I may feel bad if it turned out to be a ladybug , butterfly or my Fairy Godmother in disguise but since this is not and never has been the case my statement still stands. The only insects I don't like killing myself are Spiders ( Arachnophobia is a bitch ) and Bee's ( They chase you, get out the way D: )

I run away from spiders. I stepped on a honeybee last year, though, and even though my foot and leg were in a lot of pain, I couldn't help but think that I took out something that really needed to live, since the mysterious deaths of hives happening lately.

I have two kitties. They just make the occasional swipe at them, and walk away. They eat flies! Why not ants? xD
But no, they don't bite. They're just big and bothersome.

Aw!! What are the kitties names? And Just don't feed them. They should start eating ants!

It might put the cats in danger so that is not going to work.

@Ocarina I think they are kinda cute but I cant stand them. They are annoying the most annoying things next to Flies in my opinion. We get them in the summer time for no reason. I don't have to leave good out or anything sweet but we will find small trails or a singe scout randomly somewhere. The rest of the year, I could leave a triple chocolate cake on the counter and It wont be touched in the morning. I was stung on the back of my thigh (close to my butt) as a child, I don't know how old I was but I was at school and I was stung while I was playing on the jungle jim*sp*.


I have hated/ been scared of them ever since. :(

Bees freak me out, too, don't worry. I was chased by a Yellow Jacket when I was little. Like, literally chased by the thing, in a circle. I was so scared that I ran into the house crying, and have been truly scared of them ever since. The big bumblebees I don't mind, because they just mind their own business. But the wasps... ugh.

I wouldn't say that. I'm sure you're a wonderful person. n.n

I don't know where they come from. We will find several scattered all over the bathroom and no trial in sight. They can be found in the window seals, its madness! It hasn't started yet but I'm waiting for it. DX

There is this spray stuff called Ortho Home Defence Max and well you may not like this part is says it Kills Bugs Inside, Keep Bugs Out All Season.

Now you will have to kill whats in your house yourself ( those Ants ) but it keeps other bugs from invading your home.

Regardless of the killing, if it keeps the giant, hairy spiders out, it's good with me.

It works really well. Make sure if you spray the window seals, door ways, Ect..you do it inside first then outside. If you don't bugs hiding out may try to come into the house to get away.

Hope it works if you use it. It seems to work fine for us. But it wont keep the bees and flies out of your house...so keep the door closed! XD

D: My cat was stung by a Yellow Jacket a few years ago...so my she wont go near any bee. ( She sees them outside the window and she runs away, lol )

Whenever I see a bug I pick him up and let him free outside.

Unless it's a hornet.

Those things should all DIE. >:(

@Zombie: Not sure I could do that, since I still live with my parents... They wouldn't let me go out on my own just yet. The ants will be roommates. :P

@Rose: My one kitty, Zoe, was outside playing a bit, and when she came back in, her paw was terribly swollen. Me and my dad were calling the vet, looking up things on the internet... ;_; But it went down a lot in just a day. Poor baby. My mom, though, took one look at her and wondered why pandemonium always broke loose while she wasn't there. xD

@Poet: I do that for moths, and mostly everything. The ants I can stick in a waterbottle and chuck out the window.
