Are you allergic to something?
Do you get that awful reaction like a rash, swelling, watery eyes, itchyness, bleeding or cut off breath? How severe is the reaction and do you have a epipen and also wear a medical bracelet?

I'm allergic to tree nuts, dust mites, cat and dog hair. Also mildly allergic to kiwi and pineapple. All of my food allergies have to be eaten to get a reaction from me but dust mites make me stuffed up in the morning after sleeping. If I get dog/cat hair near me eye I start to sniffle and get the same symptoms of a cold and itchyness.
Pinapple and kiwi just always gets my mouth all itchy.

I'm deathly allergic to macademia nuts though and I had the unfortunate experience of finding out on my vacation in Hawaii. I ate one but I actually didn't want to try one in the begining untill I caved and my brother gave me one. I started to get really itchy in my mouth and my airway was slowly closing but not fully. I kept drinking milk and water and it didn't help.My mom and dad said keep drinking but my face was swelling and even after getting medecine from a clinic it took 3 hours to calm down and I just slept. It was only from one nut :O I made my whole family stay by me in are hotel and I woke up to find my dad and brother watching a weird show with real life chimps who were dubbed by people in human clothes lol some weird comedy thing :P

So tell me about your allergies. If you arent one who has allergies then if you know some people that do and can recall any interesting stories dealing with allergies.

A year ago i had a really bad break out and a docter gave me this face cream. So that night i tried it. IN the mornig i woke up with my face puffed up. My cheaks where 3 times bigger then normle and my skin had red sploches all over it! (had to miss school cuss i couldent talk or eat)
And im algeric to a lotion that people who are allrigc to lotions use.. Kinda funny. XDD Burns/ichys when i tried that one. eh hehehe

haha it was such an experience but luckily I tried it and when I went back home I went for a allergy test. I hated the allergy test since they have to poke you and but these little samples of things people are usually allergic too. Macademia made my arm so lumpy.

That sucks about finding out that lotion doesn't bode with you well. My cheeks have only swelled a bit from getting my bottom wisdome teeth out and boy was that a miserable week of recovery. Had to eat lots of liquidy foods like congee and soups.

I've had a similar experience with peanuts. However, I can actually just drink milk and the itchy mouth feeling will go away. That is, unless it's a deathly large amount. I once had a spring roll fried in peanut oil. >[email protected] Not good.

I'm also allergic to fur and feathers, so I'm not supposed to have any pets even though I love animals. TT.TT I really want a cat, but all my parents will allow me to get is a bird. Birds aren't as bad. Clean cats and dogs are alright as well, but rabbits will be the death of me. I can just sit in the room, and I'll start sneezing and getting watery eyes. xP

I had a pretty bad allergic reaction to latex. I ended up having to go to the ER because my hands swelled up so much from a pair of gloves I had to use in class. I never had a reaction before so I'm not too sure why my body all the sudden decided it didn't like latex.

o_o

The only type that bothers me is seasonal allergies. And it doesn't come up often. When I get a really bad allergy attack I sneeze, my eyes water, my nose runs, my head pounds and i'm light headed and fatigued. But like said they doesn't happen often.

So... I guess I don't have much to complain about. ... Allergy wise. :P

I do have allergies, but I don't have them all the time. Just sometimes, and it's seasonal allergies.
I'm allergic to cat hair, and we have a cat, but i'm fine unless her hair gets near my face, so it's not that bad. I'm allergic to milk too, I have to drink soy milk instead.

I have a strange allergy to kiwi fruit. O_O
I throw up when I try to eat them. DX

I also have a tiny bit of hayfever. Nothing severe. I just sneeze from time to time.

I'm lucky in that I only have mild hayfever and ezcma.... summer time = yucky time. Thankfully the ezcma is mostly under control but I have no idea what triggers a real bad attack. Those require steroid cream to calm down.

When I was younger, I was severely allergic to cats, dogs, and bunnies. Also dust-every morning I'd sneeze and blow my nose constantly for about ten minutes upon waking. I had to have a kleenex box and a garbage can directly next to me.
Now that I'm older, however, I can pet cats without sneezing, which makes me a very happy panda. I love kittehs. :P :P

Daw, what an awful experience for you! ><

Thank goodness for me, i dont have very many food allergies, though I did have a couple when I was younger.
But as far as allergies go for me, I have AWFUL sinus allergies!
Around certain times of the year, my sinuses will go completely crazy, to the point of my eyes getting puffy, red and I cant stop sneezing, and my nose gets either completely stuffed or nonstop runny!
But when their in full swing, oh my goodness, it's like torture!
I have medicines i'm supposed to take continously and not just when they start up, but thats what I always do.
I always wait until the last minute to take my medicine and it never works as much as it could! ><

I think people with sinus allergies should be considered handicapped in some aspects!
I mean, if i'm driving and I have horrible allergies, sometimes it can really effect me!
:gonk:

I have enough allergies to make people's heads spin.
Any citrus fruit, strawberries, grapes but not raisins, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cat dander, cold weather (I have sever hand eczema in the winter, my doctor said it was an allergy). I've got an allergy to a pain reliever and a muscle relaxer.
If I eat the foods I'm allergic to I normally just get painful hives, but cinnamon, almonds and nutmeg will put me into asphyxiation. Cat dander, itch/watery eyes, stuffy nose, scratchy throat.
There's more food allergies I just can't think of them right now. I had an allergist tell me that I have a food intolerance; since they didn't show up on the allergy price test. Then two days later he saw me break out in hives because of something I ate. So he stated that he was inconclusive. ;_;

I just have seasonal allergies (like pollen and stuff like it) but I utterly despise them. Most of the time in the spring, I can't breathe through my nose because I'm so stuffed up. Normally I take a pill in the morning, which takes away that problem.
And I have a strange fear of sneezing in public, so I hate it even more when my allergies cause me to sneeze seven times in a row while my teacher's giving me a lecture. (Actually happened...)
But, for the sake of being optimistic, they could be worse.

Edit: You were lucky you only ate one. Now you know about your allergy and the reaction wore off.

"Well if I don't take my daily dose of allergy medicine then my nose starts to drain down the back of my throat and.. You get the idea of what that means.. Anyways, then the back of my throat gets all sore and soon I won't be able to eat, drink, or talk because it hurts too much."

I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to fish. I haven't had it checked out but for the last four years I get awful stomach aches after eating fish of any kind. It might be a mental thing that developed after having bad fish a long time ago, but since no one else was infected that time I have a hard time believing that. But then it doesn't seem like an allergy because I didn't think stomach aches were a normal symptom of allergic reactions. All I know is that I'm not eating fish anymore.

I just suffer from hayfever as far as i know

which is crappy, because i go to a music festival in the middle of June, when i get it worst D=

i once had an allergic reaction wearing a scarf my nan gave me a few years back too, was strange. i didn't know what was happening.

to this day im still not sure wether it was the material of the scarf or my nans perfume that affected me, so i avoid both xD

thats the last time i hide hickeys, hehe
