I was at Costco today, and they had quiche samples. The lady was just taking them out of the oven. She was like "be careful, it's hot". By hot, I assumed she meant like hot from my oven, so I swallowed a bite. Yeah, way hotter. I felt the burning all the way down to my stomach and then I blacked out. And I landed on the hot quiche, so I have a second degree burn on my arm. I'm fine. Apparently it was some stress response that caused me to do that. I can't run today, which pisses me off, but whatever I'll just go twice tommorow.

The entire doctor's office was cracking up. They find me hilarious, between my weird ways of ending up there and how I act when I am there.

Anyone have a similar story?

This reminds me of the time I was at a friends house and my friends mom wanted me to try this deer meat and special gravy she made. She accidently dumped the gravy on the floor and she said "I'll be right back , Im going to go get something to clean the gravy up with. Dont step in it." 10 secs. after she told me that i was on my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water and stupid me , not paying attention , stepped right in the gravy xD

I once got two poker-straight white scars right across my palms, after attempting to take a pan of chips ("fries") out of the oven without oven gloves. >.>

XxDemon-GirlxX-I did that with broken glass. Every time I do something stupid, my mother picks up my report card and is like "OMG SHE GETS STRAIGHT A'S! WHY IS SHE SO STUPID!".

Pearl-I've yet to do that, but I'm sure I will some day. We seem to underestimate heat.

You don't know how many times I've been asked why I'm not dead yet.

I mean, I think I have more scars than I do normal skin. My one leg looks disgusting, mainly because I sat on a broken chair and got the screws stuck in my leg, along with other various injuries I can't recall.

Omigosh, are you alright? o.o

I've never heard of anyone being taken out by a quiche before... that's something you'd find in a book. I wouldn't worry, though. I've walked straight into a glass door, stabbed myself with a pencil, been eaten by a rose bush... life happens sometimes.

I've often burnt myself on irons (don't ask), and hot oven trays (had a scar for years from one incident).

I once sat on a char that I knew was broken but at the time my brain didn't connect the dots and I fell hitting my elbow on the way down. I had a good bruise on my elbow from that.

Other injuries either come into the category of moshing injuries or "how the hell did I get that since I don't remember hitting that area?"

I think that this accident prone-ness is just a part of being highly intelligent.

LOL... That's crazy. I can't imagine eating something so hot it makes me black out. I'd probably end up spitting out it everywhere before that happened. XD Anyways, I've had some crazy and stupid stuff happen to me plenty of times... I think one of the funniest that involved my whole family happened back in December. My mom is really clumsy. And we're from Florida, so there's never any ice outside the door to slip and fall in... Well, we were on vacation in North Carolina and it hadn't even been snowing, it was actually a rather warm winter, even up there. Well one morning my mom got up and went out the door in flip flops. Stepped right on some ice. Fell flat on her back. The screams woke me up. XD I woke up in a daze, but just in time to see my dad rush out there to help her up - only to fall on the ice right beside her! Funniest shit ever. I started laughing. My boyfriend was there too and he was way too polite to laugh at them. XD But I couldn't help it, it was just hilarious that they both fell. But I was concerned because my mom already had back problems and then to fall like that isn't good. Well I got up and ran to the door but the room was very crowded and I ran right into a table but I kept going, didn't really feel it that much... I do that a lot, I bump into something and only slightly notice it. Well, they managed to get up off the ground and though my mom was sore all day everyone was okay. But the next day when I was changing my clothes I saw the hugest bruise I have ever seen on the side of my leg. Really deep dark purple and bigger than my fist. It was pretty awesome, actually. It was somewhat painful, but it was like... I didn't know bruises could get that big. XD I felt pretty stupid but it was funny showing the bruise to people.

Ouch. Dx

When I was in 4th grade, I used to race this kid from the car to the line.
Well, my mom was parking on the side as usual. I was so eager to get out, I jumped out of the car while it hadn't fully stopped and my foot ended up under the tire from the sudden jolt. Then a teacher got out of her truck and carried me to the office. D:

You must have swallowed that really fast. And why is it that the smartest people do the stupidest stuff? Maybe, the common sense part is fried because of all the other intelligent thoughts?

Anyone remember when you were little adults told you not to rock on your chair because you could fall? I always though, yeah right, but I actually did that and fell on a metal coat hanger base. I've still got a bump.

@Ocarina-How do you get eaten by a rose bush?

I actually have a few stories. The first is a story I have heard most of my life. Its one of my mom's favorite stories to tell from when I was a toddler. My mom, grandma, and I were in a doctor's office waiting room waiting, of course, for my grandma to get called back for her appointment. I was a restless toddler so my mom gave me a cookie. While eating this cookie I was running around the waiting room. Some how I ran into the windowsill and hurt myself. My mom picked me up and I was bleeding badly from my mouth. Chunks of something were coming out covered in blood. My grandma got called back then, since they thought I was really badly hurt. My mom thought those chunks were my tongue but they were actually pieces of the cookie. Another time I missed the bus and my mom drove me to another bus stop so that I could still get to school on time. The bus beat us there so I was in a hurry to get out of the car. My mom hadn't completely stopped the car when I decided to get out and she ran over my foot. That was kinda my fault but nothing got broken! I had another but I can't remember it. But the ones I said were pretty stupid.

I've never blacked out from eating something really hot, but I have started convulsing after doing it. ...Then afterwards, everything tastes like rubber for two days, which sucks ever more.

I've just said a lot of dumb things. My mom says that I'm so smart that I'm dumb. My hairdresser showed me a letter that supposedly I brought to her house that was mailed to me. I asked did they mail it to her by accident and they laughed at me. They said no dummy it has your address on it. I was like oh.

Once I threw some cards at my brother jokingly, it hit his eye and his top eyelash got stuck in his bottom lid. I go in alot of trouble XD
Luckily, none of that stuff happens to me.
