Perkins Restaurant. i worked there for 2.5 days as a busser. to me the last day i worked there. it was horrible. i would have stayed but i couldn't do it anymore. i'm not meant to be a busser. which makes me happy. i had issues since there were a lot of people since it was a sunday morning/afternoon. a lot of customers. constant moving. and then the hostess has the balls to come up to you and tell you you need to wipe down the table better. and we had to do that quickly. i mean come on. who thinks you can clear off and wipe down a table in a short amount of time and make it look perfect. i can understand customers. but the hostess? and then yeah you're paid under minimum wage as a busser also. you're paid the same amount as the wait staff. and they expect us to be able to cover whats left with tips? some of the servers are douche bags and don't give much.
meh i'm not complaining too much. i only worked 2.5 days (training so i couldn't get tips) at $4.60 an hour, and got $101.80 out of it. hopefully i can get a better job. i'm not cut out for restaurant, i'm better for retail or clerk work (my career choice is either librarian or secretary. more wanna be librarian, but will do secretary if needed) |
//huggles all of those who worked at crappy places//
I was thinking about working in Demetre but since I got a call back from Laura, I shall be around with older women. xD; Though I seriously like tips but I'm sure I can't handle all of that pressure. xX |

sometimes i do hear him complain about a couple of people he works with. |
@Serena: Yeah, that's the only gripe I've got about Taco Bell so far. Though I did have to work with a crew member who was a complete idiot on friday. Kid was slower than crap and was -the- slowest and sloppiest crew member I have worked with in my fast food career. Thankfully he's from a different store (which is opening up soon, the store he worked at before caught on fire and it was just cheaper to wait until the new store opened than repair the little damage that was done). I'll be glad when I get my hours back though.
I do hate those idiot customers who come through and order 10, 20, or 30 tacos through drive thru. If I were working drive thru I'd be telling them to pull around and come inside. That kind of crap backs up the line in drive thru (many of whom are reasonable people who only want a quick taco or two, for which drive thru is faster), and also pisses the workers off, who have managers constantly on their ass about upholding good drive thru times. It takes more than one minute to make huge orders...my advice to any of you on here who do this or ever think about doing this: Don't do it. It pisses off the people who are making your food. Other than those retards, Taco Bell is not a bad job. |
its because i'm with someone who works at one and is on the line. i'm not evil. and i wouldn't be one of those evil people since i hear about it from him. that and i'm not one of those customers that get angry if its taking alittle longer for the food to get to me
he's thinking of quitting when he can. just not yet since he needs the money when he goes back to school. |
Yeah, my fiancee gets to hear my bitching after work on tuesdays. That's when we get the bulk of our morons since tacos are two for $0.99 or something like that. There are idiots out every other day of the week though. Jack in the Box around here was running a special where you get two tacos or something like that free when you present a receipt from a gas purchase...Even though it was specified on the ad in the news that it was Jack in the Box running this promo, we still had dumbasses coming in trying to get free tacos from us.
Blatant stupidity like this makes me wonder who forgot to put the chlorine in the gene pool. O.o If you knew about the ad you've obviously watched it or knew someone who did and should know which restaurant was running the promo. |
yeah i wonder about that sometimes. but its people like that that make humanity funny.
