I'll have to start savin' up some money. D:

They really need some more space to run around, plus a wheel.

Good luck with getting another chinchilla. Mine had to live next to each other in separate cages for a year before they liked each another enough to live together. A man at the pet store said that it's best to introduce them in a small room, like the bathroom, before throwing them in a cage together. He also said to mask the new ones scent with perfume or something, but I didn't feel comfortable putting perfume on a little chinchilla.

My chinchilla has a flying saucer wheel. It was expensive, but worth it. He loves it and it's quiet.

I would keep them separate. They'd be both males so they would have a potential to fight more. I don't know if I would let them out at the same time to play, but if I get the second one, I might try that after a while.
I wouldn't put perfume on one either. D;

I saw the flying saucer wheel online and then forgot what it was called! I wanted to get one, it looks like total fun.

They might come to like each other eventually if they live next to each other for a while. I had their cages right up against the other and they would sniff each other. eventually we started putting one in the bigger cage for half and hour or so. They actually got along quite well. Then again, they lived as neighbors for quite a while.

Yeah. =) It's cool.

That's what I thought too. ^_^ I would do that if I get the other chin. :)

That's cool.

I read that the females are a lot more aggressive. o_O More.. PMSy. I guess :XD and that males actually get along better, as they're more relaxed when it comes to other chinchillas. *shrugs* our boys usually get along fine. We didn't ever have 2 cages at once when we got our first two, so they went straight into one cage together. 8D Which was kinda scary as one of our chinchillas came from a rescue and was kinda mean. XP At least to us. He and the other got along just fine, though. Then we got our third and we upgraded to a much larger cage. They were perfect playmates for about a year, but now the smallest one is now the fattest one and I think the first chinchilla we got, as he had dominance, feels awkward. So they chase each other around a lot when they're out of their cage. Other than that they're all great brothers. :)

Aww. I've never had a female, but I heard that too.

Oh, I see.

Aww. That's cool. ^_^

I want another chinchilla, but the rescue place hasn't gotten back to me yet and I've emailed them twice. D; I hope they get back to me... or I'll get one from another place.

Befu 09-14-2008 07:28 PM

Isn't there a phone number to call? O: I've tried emailing a few places, including the hospital when I needed to know certain visiting hours, and they never responded. It's been almost a year. ._. I guess some agencies either don't know they HAVE an email, or they just never check it. :XD

twizted child eve 09-14-2008 11:28 PM

They just got back to me today. They were sick and on vacation too.

I will be getting Wiggles on Wednesday. This will be my 2nd chinchilla. :)
Here's a picture of him: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ts/WIGGLES.jpg

He's so cute. :) I can't wait to get him. ^__^

This is my other chinchilla, Nibbler: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d7...ewingloofa.jpg

Yes. :heart: I can't wait to get Wiggles. :squee: :heart:

They also have a white mosaic, which is also the color chin I love too. It will be hard not to take them both home. xD;

bluezjessi 09-16-2008 09:22 PM

@[email protected]; Oooooo that one sounds precious too~ :gonk: Mosaics are so pretty. * 3* Gawl, -all- chinchillas are pretty. xD *wants to hug one right now* D:

twizted child eve 09-16-2008 09:45 PM

Yeah. :) They are. Mine doesn't really like to be hugged. But he likes it when I hold him while he eats a treat. xD

Befu 09-17-2008 07:49 PM

Shadow, our first chinchilla, used to love it when we'd pick him up and walk around the house. But recently he dun like it when we pick him up. @[email protected]

Angel Naomi 09-17-2008 07:54 PM

Because we keep bugging him while he's in the cage so he dun like to be handled anymore.

Befu 09-17-2008 09:09 PM

I don't bug him. >_> *recalls the episode where you kicked Pikachu out of his house so Shadow could get in it, then Pikachu thought I was you and started biting the crap out of me.* So YOU'RE the one to bug Shadow. D<

Angel Naomi 09-17-2008 11:12 PM

I'm not bugging shadow and your story proves it :D

Befu 09-17-2008 11:23 PM

My story proves you provoke the chins, then I go to play with them and they hate me because you were the one to bug them. :(

Angel Naomi 09-17-2008 11:24 PM

But they still love me so it must be you who is really the one provoking them :D

Summer2548 09-17-2008 11:42 PM

No i don't have one of those but I've always wanted one or a feret. ^.^ All I have right now is two little kitties and soon a puppy. Hopefully a baby beagle if I'm lucky.

twizted child eve 09-18-2008 11:56 AM

Well, I didn't get Wiggles. He was really hyper and hard to hold/handle. He liked to nibble harder than I liked. I didn't want to get him if I was too nervous. Plus he didn't look at all like the picture. He has red eyes, lighter ears and he's fatter. Not that it really matters. The personality was a bit too hyper for me. I hope he finds a good home though.

I got another chinchilla instead. His name they gave him is Ramble. He is a light tan. :)
He's really scared/shy right now, but he'll come around in a few weeks.

bluezjessi 09-18-2008 05:58 PM

Awww. Well, it sounds like Ramble has found a good, loving home then. X3 Can't wait to see piccus~ ^w^

twizted child eve 09-18-2008 11:29 PM

He's a picture of Ramble: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d7...s/CIMG1068.jpg

The flash was off, so it's not that great. D: You can't really tell his coloration too well. I'll take more tomorrow or something. :)

Shishunki 09-19-2008 04:00 PM

Oh sweet gods... I must cuddle the chincilla!
The cuteness is too much!!

sammi724 09-19-2008 05:04 PM

bluezjessi 09-19-2008 07:33 PM
