They are. ^_^ I would recommend reading about them and knowing what they need before deciding to get one. ^^
Aw, he's cute. :3 I think it'd be cool if I got one, but my dog would probably eat it or something. He's pretty merciless like that. He even ate a whole nest of baby bunnies that made the mistake of being in my backyard once. xD |
Aww. D:
I don't have any pets, your chinchilla is cute though. Reminds me of a bunny.
Aw, they look like great pets <3
Awww, it's cute. :'3 I have 2 cats and I used to have hamsters but they died. x'D
I don't have a chinchilla but I do have:
1 horse 3 hampsters 2 rabbits 3 budgies 4 fish And most of them are more uncommon breeds. |
Nimtassare: Wow. That's a lot of animals. I have a blue budgie myself. And one gray chinchilla. ^^
Aww! He's so cute :) My boyfriend wants a chinchilla so bad, but they are a rather rare species to have as a pet... I know a lot of people disagree with people's decision to have them as pets because they were naturally a wild animal. I think they're adorable, but will probably be a handful if we DO get one... I kind of want a ferret, so we'll see who wins :P
They're actually becoming quite a common pet. They're endangered in the wild because of hunters, hunting for their fur, but as a pet they're pretty common. I think people have tried, and failed, to re-introduce Chinchillas back into their natural habitat, but for one reason or another, it's not working out too well. So shame on the activists who are against having Chinchillas for pets. :< If they have a good home, then that's all that matters. In the wild their life expectancy is what.. 5-10 years? ish? In captivity that number is doubled. :]
Three cheers for fun, cute, and exotic pets! :XD  Hehe.
I think the most exotic thing I have right now is a leopard gecko. >o> *pets him* Er.. *her. Yeah. I think it's a her. o_o; |
Aw. Cute.
I wish I had a chinchilla, they are so adorable. I love to watch them bathe in dust, it's the cutest thing ever. My boyfriend used to have one. He talks about how cute they are when they eat too.
They are so cute. ^_^ I love mine.
I have a dog, a cat, and a ball python. xD
I LOVE chinchillas though. One time my friend Ben asked me what kind of rodent I would prefer to have my house infested with...and I said Chinchilla. Although now that I think about it Ferret would have been a better choice. But chinchillas are my second favorite! He chose capybaras. I guess he wanted to outdo me on the size front. Whatever. [/rant] |
Why would ferrets be a better choice? They're so STINKY. :XD and definitely not as soft. O:
Chinchillas are sooo soft and don't smell. <3
Hmm...I don't want to clean up after any pets which is why I don't have any at all...but if I could have any animal in the world I would probably have a pet panda or dolphin...or maybe a komodo dragon so I could tell everyone I have a pet dragon.
I don't think chinchillas are too hard to clean up after.
I love chinchillas. They're so fluffy and adorable, especially when they roll around in dust baths. My fifth grade science teacher had one, but I can't. My cats would probably (sadly) eat it. |
Awww. You could always keep the chinchilla in another room.
Cleaning up one Chinchilla was pretty easy, but once we got 3, well... lots more to clean up. :XD
Awww, he's cute. I don't have a chinchilla, but my school had one named Pumpkin. |
Quote:
Hehe. xD Yeah. |
Your little chinchilla is absolutely adorable! X3
I really, really like chinchillas but I'm not really a pet person and I'm slightly allergic to fur so I wouldn't want one for myself. Me and my sisters have had a lot of pets during our childhood though. The most uncommon ones were probably a pair of quails. |
