Moving
I might be moving. :(
I have a choice I have to make. Either move with my dad & sis, stay in our current house by myself, or rent a room somewheres in the area. How many times have you moved, if at all, and what was the hardest move? This will be the hardest "move" involved change for me because I either leave my home, or I live by myself, or I live with strangers. All which I'm not quite prepared to do. |
Moving is always a difficult choice. My family is moving down to Oklahoma in less than a month, so I'm going to be moving in with my fiancee and basically living on my own. I know it's going to be a bit of a change, but I also know that we can both manage it together.
First question, do you have a job and does that job pay enough for you to support yourself? If you answer no to this question, then you may want to move with your dad and sis for the time being...unless of course you can find a job that will allow you to pay bills and buy groceries before the move. |
I've moved about six times in my life. The longest i've stayed in one place is thirteen years. I hate moving. I really do. It's so stressful. I've also helped people move, which is not as strenuous, but can still be taxing.
The hardest move i've had is going from a house to a small apartment with my family where we were crammed together and there was basically no place where you could be by yourself. Usually when I move there's an adjusting period. But leaving that apartment to be in a house again was such a relief. I felt at ease right away. |
I've never moved before in my entire life but that's changing soon with my wedding coming up in several months lol
My fiance's in the airforce so moving will become common in my life eventually unless he can manage to stay stationed at his current base each time they want to station him elsewhere |
I think the only move I've ever done was from a house my parents rented to this one... but I was like 5 so I barely remember anything about it...

I've moved around 6 times.
I'll be moving out on my own, too, in a year or so. It's pretty scary to think about, really. D: |
I've moved twice.
The first time I was a baby, though, so it doesn't really count. Don't remember it at all. I moved the second time when I was 10. I was moving away from the only place I could ever remember living in. It was hard, but I adjusted. I'm homeschooled, so I only had a few neighbor friends. Most of my friends I continued seeing. I only moved half an hour away. It was a good move, though. We moved from a trailer to a real house. And our house is very nice. ^^ Though parts of it need repairing because the person who inspected it before we moved in did a really shitty job and didn't notice a ton of damage. >.< |
I've moved a lot in my life, a lot. I never stayed one place long enough to really be affected and moving now probably wouldn't affect me at all. I can't really say how many times but I can go by places I've lived and that's around six. And my parents weren't in military either.

I've moved too many times. Which is messing up grades and future school schedules. Believe it or not my hardest move I would have to say was right behind the apartment. We were moving to another apartment which was a couple of yards behind the one we were moving out of. It was hard because my dumbass stepfather was rushing and hassling and stressing us like hell.

I've never had to move anywhere. Next year will be the time i move, on my own, when i go to university. I'm not really sure if i'm looking forward to it or not.

I love moving!
My family moved around a lot when I was a child, so I've always been used to it. I just see it as exciting, and an opportunity to meet new people and start over again with a clean slate. You can turn into a completely different person every time you move, because nobody already knows who you are or has any preconceived ideas about you. Sure, sometimes you miss old friends, but there's no reason why you can't stay in touch and still meet up and see each other. I'm actually in the process of moving to a new area right now, and I'm really excited about the whole thing. |
