They would need to apply all the rules of alcohol to Marijuana due to its effects on the body. Other than that there really isn't much else they should do. I mean the gov will take the hell out of it.

No. It was made illegal for good reasons. And it should stay illegal. If marijuana was legal even MORE people would do drugs and we really don't need that.
Sorry if this is offends you in any way, but its still basically a drug and people really need to stop using drugs.

if you actually look into it you can get very convinced. if they legalized it i guess the goverment would loose millions of dollars, because they make so much money off it somehow. and it is way healthir then drinking and smoking cigarettes, its proven by scientist, it doesnt have near as much toxins in it. and there have never been any recorded deaths from weed, you would haveto smoke your own weight, and thats impossible.

If it was legal it could curtail some of the usage, some people just do things because you're not allowed to... such as drinking, was much more fun when I wasn't old enough, it kinda loses it's glamour later on.

They want to make it legal to tax it and make a profit... as if the gov't isn't secretly gaining profits from it already...

I have no opinion about the drug use - if you smoke it, do it in your own home and don't involve anybody else. (I have the same policy for people who drink - do it in a safe place and don't get in a car.)

I do think marijuana has medical benefits. I've witnessed quite a few people who have suffered from caner or other things that have killed their appetite. One of the things I noticed were signs of depression because they couldn't even enjoy eating food anymore. I know there's the "marijuana pill" but it doesn't increase hunger as much as the smoke would. (These are from people's personal accounts, mind you. You may have a different opinion but since this is what I've heard, I'll stick with it.)

Completely true. It's all about the money. That's why they made it illegal in the first place, not because of the high. Oh, and most substance related deaths aren't from illegal drugs - it's from ALCOHOL! And has that been outlawed yet? No. Why? 'Cause they can make a profit.

It should stay illegal. Its a drug and it can cause you to loose sence of stuff. If it was legal there would be so much more crap going on. Ive seen high people and ive been high. Its not good to do drugs. I dont even think tobacco should be legal.

I'm not sure if it should be legal or not though. There are things about it that make it better than other drugs but it is still a drug (a lie is a lie no matter how big or small) but I couldn't decide. I wouldn't want to be the one who had the deciding vote in it.

If I were though, I'd make it legal. Why not. Amsterdam doesn't have problems with it, people don't go crazy over there. The only ones that go crazy are the people that come from countries where it's not legal. Same with drinking. In Europe the drinking age is much lower and there's way less alcoholism over there.

It needs to be and should always remain illegal. I have watched it destroy the lives of too many people to support it being legalized.

In short, the pipe may have had pot in it however it wasn't the only herb in there. Misconceptions to justify usage from a lot of people I think.
