Yeah they do this a lot.. and the fact they have the money to buy a STATE PARK is impressive.. goes to show what they're doing with all the cash people send them to "save animals". HUGE advertising campaigns. Why does it seem like the biggest pyramid scheme ever?

You are the kind of Vegetarian I like. You don't push it on me and I won't push meat on you... not that I would on the pushy kind either, but I will rub facts in their face like they do mine.

Thank you for understanding :)

This is an example of what we people are coming to. With PETA someone found a way to play on peoples sympathies and make a lot of money doing it.
Though to be honest I cant fault them for euthnizing animals. I would rather see them put to sleep than to see them abused or starve to death. The stray packs of dogs around here get together to kill other peoples pets. I saw a cat with its head pulled off and its little body torn to pieces by a pack of dogs. Fido is a great family pet and would hurt his family but when irresponsible people allow them to run loose they pack up and act just like wild dogs. I have had them go up to my children at the busstop and threaten them. Yes if they cant find homes they need to be put to sleep. At least it is painless and they dont suffer. There are too many to be able to find homes for all of them.
But PETA founders are just getting rich off poof old ladies that love their Fifi.

PETA ticks me off to no end. The way they treat people who do not agree with the super radical events they have just irks me.

@midnitemyst: Yeah, if they can't find them homes.. Too bad PETA just puts them to sleep without even trying to find them homes. They'll take an elderly man's beloved cat and say "well find him a nice home" and the poor thing will be put down as soon as they get it to the van. And take animals from shelters where they have a chance at a good home, and put them down as soon as they get them. They make me so sick when they do that. Don't even give the poor things a chance. None of their money is spent on saving animals.. you're right, it's just a get rich quick scheme.

I think a lot of the negative opinions on meat stems from ignorance. I lived in a small farming community for years, and I love to watch the videos peta and other organizations put up because they're so wrong. The farms they video tape should in some cases even be reported to the authorities rather than distributed online for their desperate "This happens EVERYWHERE" argument. A majority of the 'farming' you see online is innacurate to how it is in real life. It's kind of silly, actually.

I eat meat because it's in my nature. I don't question vegitarians for not eating meat. More power to them for making their own decision! (I don't normally care for vegans, though. >> No offence vegans, but I just don't see why and no matter how you rationalize it I just won't get it.) However, we're omnivores, and I tend to keep that in mind. I enjoy my veggies and sugars and starches, but I'd feel upset without my meat. It's important to my diet, and if I go too long without it my body gets in bad shape and my mood goes downhill. Rather than spend money on vitamins I have to remember to take, I'd rather just cook me up some dead animal. 8D numnumnum.

Besides, if that pig was hungry and had the opportunity it would take me down. It's the way of the natural world.

(Besides, if I became a vegan I'd have to quit nomming on milk bones, considering how many animal parts are in there. Dx )

As for Peta: I have a McCruelty sticker on my coffee cup, with the word "hatin'" scratched out to "luvin'" so people don't think I'm serious about it. I just...a scary Ronald McDonald holding a bloody knife is pure comedy in my eyes. I burst into laughter every time I see it. Do people take this seriously?

If so, I'm ashamed of them. And then I'll mock their belief on my coffee cup, as I do.

While I do not understand vegans, I do not understand vegetarians either. I do not hate anyone who is but I do not understand the point. It is your choice and go for it. I encourage freedom of choice. From what everyone says about PETA, they sound like I would lose my precious little Tigress and then they would kill it. Death is not any less cruel. If the animal was in severe pain or had extreme crippling disabilities then I would say yes, please allow this animal to finally leave behind that horrible way of life, but I would not allow them to kill without a good reason. I hope somebody shuts them down for good. Anyway, about vegetarians. I would like to know why someone becomes a vegetarian. I know taste is of course reasonable enough(hey, I don't love every vegetable served on my dish) but I don't get why someone would not eat meat because animals are getting killed. They will get killed anyway. It would take a massive amount of people not eating meat to slow the amount of animal slaughtering down. I don't mean to say that you are wrong in your decision but I am not capable of understanding your viewpoint and because of that, I will not argue.
