Yes, I can't help but agree with you, SaetonChapelle. I gave up watching naruto when I was on the middle just because there were some fans of it at school. Not matter who, in any ways, talked with them, they started to talk about it, and if someone looked at their direction from a distance, they would probably see them pretending they were someone from the anime/manga/whatever it was they saw. It is a shame to me and, as I could realize, to us fans that aren't in love with an anime/manga/movie/book character, for we only like to watch/read it, and discuss about. I believe that these obssesed fans spoil all the fun you have when reading or watching a manga/anime/movie/book.

Sadly I have to admit I was like those crazy fangirls when I was ten, but honestly I think everyone has their own little fangirl/fanboy moments. XD

But something that bothers me is when people turn a good anime/manga/fanbase upside down by being too serious about characters and creating mary-sues and such. The crazy fnagirls/fanboys really turn me off from wanting to read/watch popular series like Naruto, Bleach and so on.

Its gotten to the point where I just like unpopular series, and actually most of the unpopular ones I love DESERVE more attention than the typical popular ones.

On the topic of shipping. I honestly don't mind it as much. I support some pretty obscure pairings too so I guess I know how it feels. But what I really hate is when they pair characters up that haven't even met or just paired them up just for the sake of it or when they care more about the pairing itself rather than the series. -___-"

@x_cannibalisticcows, actually when I went to a couple conventions I found some REALLY nice people there, I didn't find any crazy rabid fans. Sure there were obsessive fans here and there but they kept to themselves about liking a series or not.
