He seems too human to be any good.

Orr.. something like that 8)

That will be our end. Sure there's going to be wars, people will set nukes off and there'll be global warming, but is that really enough to bring a huge lump of rock floating in space to an end? No. We've had so many wars and meteorites have crashed all over the place and yet, we're still here :)

Technically I believe that will be the END OF EARTH.

Our world as we know it - as in our culture, our race, everything, will likely be destroyed by the human race. xD

That won't happen for a while, not in my lifetime.

Probably every nation will be fighting each other to death, and we will all be killed. Global Warming will eventually harm/kill us, but it will happen before the end of the earth.

It would be hard for me to stop using my cellphone, especially in this summer. xD

Ellendar 06-26-2007 05:56 PM

Hmm as likely as a nuklear holocost might be I think I'll bank on a super disease wiping out the vast majority of the human race, followed by the few survivors eventually withering away. Ashes ashes... they all fall down...

Well global warming is the way nature renews itself. It maybe the end of humans but not the world. Plus it will get way colder then hotter once the true global warming takes in effect. It gets very very hot and then starts getting very very cold and then once that is over the earth is renewed. It is just a process that is speeding up do to human error... But naturally none the less.

Rvaya 06-26-2007 06:23 PM

I think God will end this world.

Cami 06-27-2007 06:21 PM

I'm not really all that worried about global warming, actually. The planet goes through rotations. This is why we've had ice ages. And the hole in the ozone has been there for longer than we've been bipeds, getting bigger and smaller as the earth changes. We didn't cause it. Maybe we've made it bigger, but we did not cause it.

The earth can handle itself. We may cause it some problems, but it'll bounce back.

Aurora 06-27-2007 06:28 PM

(please dont get mad at me for posting what I think ;-; )
I believe it will end when God desides it's time to go home. :]
I dont know when it will be or how it will end exactly, but I know it will be great when it does. ^^

*bites lip and refrains from commenting on the 'God' stuff*

We'll destroy it (humans)..or one of those big planet killing asteroids that astronomers reckon is on its way *is a cheery person*

Whatever it is, I dont want it to be during my lifetime thanksmuchly XD

ToriKat 06-27-2007 08:57 PM

  • Humankind. We're doing a really good job at it too. All of the pollution, global warming, destroying hundreds, even thousands of species daily, bulldozing and tearing up different environments and so on. And then we keep producing nuclear weapons...*sighs* If we don't kill the earth, we'll just end up killing each other in the process....

Actually, I do believe it will be human kind that will destroy this earth because of there stupidity in not thinking through things and caring. XD
So I agree with that.

ToriKat ~ :nods: Sadly, tis true. D:

The way I see it, humans are survivors when it comes to adapting to new circumstances and we could probably endure a lot more than we expect, especially with the help of technology. That said, even with that current technology we are almost completely left at mother nature's mercy as soon as something unpredictable occurs.
The Earth, especially life on the surface and land living animals and insects, could quite possibly be entirely whiped out in a Nuclear war but I think the final blow will be dealt by nature itself. It could be either in the form of one or several catastrophes or diseases or perhaps by something from space, like the sun imploding or a metorite striking.

Probably, it's the things wich we cannot predict which will strike us the hardest because if we are not aware of it, how can we protect us and our surroundings from it?

Mimi Lara 06-28-2007 06:27 PM

I say this to the global warming arguement. I feel that the world has gone through drastic changes in the past and we survived...it all comes down to addapting.

Caranfirithwen 06-28-2007 06:38 PM

Specifically I don't know what will end the world. I can't really even venture a guess. However, in some fashion or another, I think technology will be our downfall. I think that things will get so advanced that the world will be destroyed in an accident or the technology we build will destroy us in some way, such as it getting a mind of its own.

life in red and black 06-28-2007 11:31 PM

probably us humans. our scientists actually know how to! we probably won't last until 2012, or even global warming's side effects to seriously kick in, especially not the sun's expiration in 5000 yrs!

~Mutant_Marshmallow~ 06-30-2007 01:38 AM

Well, the pollution problem could certainly end the world. I do wish people would stop polluting sooo much. I'm not saying I don't add to that but I do things to help stop that like recycling and walking or riding my bike instead of taking a car everywhere I want to go. That is the biggest thing though, I wish people would stop riding their cars to places that are like 2 blocks away. But with the rise in gas prices I hope more people will start riding bikes or walking more often.

Another thing if nothing kills the world in a long time (emphasis on LONG) the sun will eventually explode in about a billion years and that will deffinately get rid of the earth.

These are just my thoughts though.

-Razor- 07-01-2007 01:48 AM

i think *all of the above* will eventually catch up with the modern world and take thier toll on life as we know it...it is...inevitable

phoebe101 07-02-2007 12:38 AM

I know it's going to be glombal warming

Flying Wings 07-02-2007 02:05 AM

Global Warming. One single group of murderers cannot kill everyone, and the sun isn't going to blow up until like..A couple hundred or ten million years from now..xP

Spufflez 07-02-2007 02:38 AM

- The sun is constantly expanding, so we might be engulfed by it in the year 2012... I hear the magnetic poles are supposed to change making things even warmer here on Earth

- Our atmosphere is getting all crazy from all of the pollutants.... so soon we'll all burn up in our own oils >.<

- Asians will rule the world soon, we will all be influenced by them
(Psh, I want to be a ninja >:3) Bush will be banished and he'll be sent to the north pole to hang with the polar bears.... But eventually the world will implode from his massive ego

- Modern technology will become too powerful for humans to control and the robots will forcibly taking over, forcing humans to be our slaves

- Dolphins, one of the world's most intelligent creatures, will brainwash humans into thinking that we're all dolphins and when people start diving into the ocean they will send the sharks out on us.

- Or, my favorite, people from other Galaxys see our puny planet and blow it up for fun after watching us kill our own kind over land and oil reserves

- Or we all just mutate back into monkeys and we will know nothing because we only have memory spans of up to five minutes[/b]

cleric sarah 07-06-2007 09:06 PM

well according to the worlds most highly intelligent man who somehow worked out when the world was going to end, according to him 2060 - 2100, the world will become a ball of flames and gas.. o.O

`Mel 07-07-2007 11:47 PM

Well, first off, another president like George Bush will easily end our world.
But then again we've got some major issues with Global warming so that's always a good guess. I also think think that humans themselves will end this poor world.
Smoking/Cars/Electricity/Waste/etc.
All our faults.

Winterwolfgoddess 07-08-2007 11:37 PM

I think it is more likely than anything that something such as a meteor shower or something space related (not talking about sci-fi stuff in this aspect) will end the war.

Frankly, from the things you listed, it is the only one that seems reasonable in my opinion, next to the another Ice Age. Global warming is a myth to my logic. It fits right into the Ice Age cycles, but that is another debate. I will fight anyone who thinks that global warming a "BIG" issue.

"Nukes" Just aren't power enough to "end" the world unless you have them everywhere and make them explode
