I also agree with what aphrodite_remix said about the trouble with being able to select teh child's gender. It would be terrible if something went wrong and the parents harbored some sort of disapointment or resentment towards their child for being the "wrong" gender. I'm not saying that they should completely do away with the option of choosing the baby's gender. However, it should be completely explained to and understood by the parents that there are no guarantees.

Which just leaves it to they might as well not choose. After all... if a couple is doing it just because they want a child and can't do it the natural way, if they did it the natural way, they wouldn't be able to choose... and also, as I said, people with certain prejudices or biases, cultural, religious, or personal, may only choose one gender over another because they think one is better than the other, which is really, in my opinion, quite awful. As I said. In China, they actually had a "shortage" of girls because it was so dishonorable to have girl children, and women were aborting and adopting their female babies out, given the "one-child" rule.
As for the Christians being targeted, it isn't meant that all Christians are against it, but simply that the main group opposed to IVF is Christians. Christians aren't being "targeted", they're just the most outspoken group in opposition to the procedure.

I'm Okay with it.
Its just a nother way people can have kids.
Some people can't bare children with there Partner.
So IVF is a good way for them to Have Children.
and A Family also.
Its There Choice not ours.
