Bahahaha! But hey, you included the salad! It counts.
But chicken goes best with salad! The spinach makes a little plate for the chicken fat to slide gracefully into your stomach and not stick to your arteries. *totally legit science* Don't question it if you want to keep eating fried food. [ninja]
Okay Jelly now the summer is starting to come upon us, you need to get some B.B.Q recipes on the go!
I don't barbeque anything, ever, lol. I don't have anywhere to barbeque. xD
Get a little George Forman! Yes, I threw one out recently, but that's because the thing I had was built for a family of 12.
Those george foreman grills are awesome.
I have a big George Forman grill, it's sat in the cupboard for years, I've barely used it. ><
A tip I just learned to clean it more easily is to take a few paper towels, dampen them, and let them sit in the foreman for a few minutes steaming it clean, so you only have to wipe it off! A revelation that is useless for some people because I guess MODERN foremans are built with removable grill plates!! [illgetu]
They remove now? [lol] Mine is like... 6 years old...
Mine's older than that, but I still have the drip tray and the plastic scrappy things! lol. Probably because it's barely been used. ><
You're not supposed to keep those?
Yes, but I'm sure mot people lose them. xD
My parents still have the ones that came with theirs. I'm glad to hear the burner plates are removable now - those things get SO scummy. One time I tried to clean them after my mom made burgers and... oh man. I was wiping it down with vinegar and paper towels for half an hour and it still wasn't clean. [gonk] I'd like to use it to make toasted sandwiches, but no way I'd do that now, with all that burger gunk stuck on there.
I just put my George Foreman under the faucet and rinse it and scrub it clean O_o
I still have the little scraper too. It's very handy. |
I didn't know you could do that... Figured water would get into the electronic bits and be dangerous.
I thought so too, but looked it up and that's what they did. I believe there were videos too. So that's what I've been doing with it and I haven't had any trouble. I mean, I'm very careful when I do it, too. I try to make sure all the water runs off, but sometimes it can't be helped where it goes.
It always chars my meat, though :( |
So long as you let it properly dry, washing an electronic isn't necessarily bad... just.. not usually the smartest idea.
Well, it's done no harm and I wouldn't go so far as to call it a stupid thing to do
If you can ensure that it is 100% dry, it causes no problems. Otherwise however it can be very complicated.
I remember a girl at college that spilled water on her laptop... took 4 hours to dry completely. |
I'm speaking of a grill, which is not so delicate as a laptop
It's been fine and I've done it many times By no means am I saying to dunk it in water. You just let some water run on it, which the way the grill is designed it will run off, and then you scrub and rinse again. |
That's true. I always treat all electronics as fragile [lol]
Also, I imagine that a grill would go much longer than 4 hours between uses.
That is true... usually 24 hours or so
You know what the worst thing about them was? You could never get the nice grill marks on hot dogs. I ended up squishing that thing down like I was making a panini.
I use mine for steak, and it always gets scorched on the top
