Ok heres' the scoop. I generally name my bettas in series.
Usually my bettas have been named after gems. After getting a batch of mostly cambodians ( pink bettas for those of you not into fishkeeping), I decided to go with a new theme. I am now naming my bettas after desserts.
First ones name is Parfait. Seven more to be named. All have cambodian hues with either red, green or lavender hues.
Parfait got named first because he was being picked on, had to be removed and I was watching him more then the others in case he got sick. Parfait is a Cambodian with green and red fins.

Sponge cake, Brownie, Baklava, Creme, Strawberry short cake, etc... I used to name all my bettas after flowers and gems. I stopped naming my fish after I reached 25.

I like Baklava. And why stop naming your fish?.

I have Quartz and Lapine..Sapphire, Pearl and Topaz have passed on.

Because I ended up with to many. I had babies at one point too so that was somewhere around 100 or so bettas.

Tiramisu...Jello...Friutcake...Loli&pop XD...Marshmallow...

I had three little guppies one time...Tiger Lily, Sunshine, and Rain...I miss them :(

Gelato or Spumoni ? XD I want to be a jerk and suggest Sahara too... (Because of the spelling goof and all.)

my fishies always had to had a cool name and like a made up personality.. xD I made them "charts" sort of like if you are doing a RP-character xD

but now I can't remember any of their names... >.< except one, it was Leevi.

hmm why not try to watch them a little and then give them names based on some of their features or habits?

I like Tiramisu and Gelatto.

I'm planning a spawn too, however I'm only naming my personal batch I'm keeping, not fry I raise to sell. at least they'll be one more attempt before I start trying to move again.

OK so I have Tiramisu, Baklava, Gelatto and Truffle ( from the fish forum).

Chocolate, Pie, Tart, Fudge, Puff ball,....think of random names no one else would think of name there Bettas thats what I did :P

Tatine (from tarte tatine), Sorbet, Cupcake, Strudel, Muffin, Florentine... If you look around a recipe site for desserts, I'm sure you'll find many more nice names. :)

If the name is tasty, the object is tasty. :3 Unless the object is live fish... so your bettas are safe.

That's a really cute idea! I like both naming them after gems and desserts.
