Damn... that's gotta really blow.
What would I do with it?
I'd try to control it. Course, I'm a girl. So if I had then in highschool I probably would have used it as a sort of bulimics dream card. However, I'm older now and I know that's a horrible thing to use it for.
My best advice is to meditate. I know, might sound crazy if you haven't heard much more than "Buddhists do it" or whatever
It'll help! Sit in a dark room with all the non-essential electronic equipments off. Preferably, turn all non-essential electronics in the house off. But if you live with other people and that's not possible then just try and distance yourself as much as possible. Sit there and focus on ONE thing. Your breathing, counting, an image, whatever. The longer you can quiet everything else in your mind but that one thing, the better you'll be at meditating. It's SO hard at first. How will this help? Meditation allows you to have more control over your mind. Since it is in your mind where these episodes originate from, then this will greatly improve your control over the episodes.
If that doesn't work out for whatever reason, can't find the time, can't get the right motivation to continue, whatever. It happens, especially in today's world. Maybe seek help from alternative medicines; acupuncture, hypnotherapy, massage therapy, etc.
If none of those work... Then I suggest you first read up on. Widen your knowledge base. Find out where it comes from, what people with it have done about it, what kind of medications or herbal remedies people have taken for it, and what is available to you. Also, definitely see a doctor. I say read up on it before you see the doctor only because it is important to know what kind of medication works versus what the doctor prescribes to you.
Whatever you choose to do, I really hope it works out for you.
