My two of my neighbors that i trust have a spare key so that if I get locked out I have a way back in, last time I got locked out neither of my neighbors were home so I walked down the street to a local deli and had dinner then walked back... when I got back one of them one home.

I too have locked myself out of my apartment. I had to wait three hours for my room mate to get out of class to let me in. It's kind of a good thing I had my nintendo ds with me to keep me some company or else I would have probably cried.

I didn't read the whole thread, so I dunno what's been said, but I think making a copy of a key and hiding it somewhere outside should help. xD

I locked myself out of my dorm once. I was lucky to have gotten my roommate's cell number not too long before that. We had orientation, and went our separate ways to join friends, but when I came back I found that I didn't have my key and locked myself out, so I was lucky to have my cell and been able to call her. She called and came to save me. I don't remember, if I locked myself out more than once, but that was the only time I remembered. Oh, but I did get myself locked out of my house, but there's too many times to explain the story. XD

How I solved my problem, is that I made sure I have a way in or my copy of a key to get in.
