What in the bloody anything is wrong with me?!
Okay so
Last night I was feeling rather energetic, so I took a pill a couple hours before bed. It was a cold pill, and seeing as I have some sort of a cold and said pill may or may not make a person drowsy, it made sense. I didn't get the least bit tired, so I did something bad and took another pill (Its those 24hr ones) right before bed. I got insanely tired, yet I did not sleep. I would get insanely comfortable, yet I would not sleep. I'd just lay there, on the verge of sleep, but never sleeping. About 2AM, I realized I had to pee. I went to pee, came back. 2:20? Went to pee. came back. At this point I was starting to have rather bad vertigo whenever I stood up to do anything. Everything would slowly fade into black with a bright white center and I'd be extremely dizzy and nearly fall, and when I was safe and back in bed, I'd hear a loud, high pitched beeping in my head, followed by a static noise. By 2:45, enough was enough for me. I had peed and got so dizzy too many times. I sat up, got a drink of water, and proceeded to do the only logical thing: play Pokémon. After I did that for maybe 45min, I got up to pee, and tried to sleep again. It didn't work. I watched TV (with pee breaks), then tried to sleep. It didn't work. and now, its 6:23AM and I still get dizzy when I stand and I'm still thirsty. Whats wrong with meeee? EDIT :: I've started to move around a bit and peeing has become every 30min or so. I still get dizzy but not as badly as if I'm laying down, and it takes longer for me to start getting it. I'm staying home from school today, since it's kind of dangerous to be at school and have vertigo and needing to pee all the time. |
You could have very have gotten worse on your cold or you accidently ODed yourself on cold meds. I would suggest you get your butt to a doctor. probably the fastest way you will find out what is wrong with you or you could try to tough it out if you can't afford a doctor.
I would try to drink plenty of fluids first off. Eat even if your stomach won't keep it down. Part of your food will be digested. Also try to get some form of rest/sleep even if you have to sleep in a lazyboy chair. Those are my suggestions. Good luck and hope you get to feeling better. |
Well I have this glass of water handy.. My mom had this last week and she doesnt know what it is either. I'm going to eat soon, I'm the type who.. if I eat as soon as I start moving around, I get sick. I'm going to the doctor laterrrr..
|
Good on both accounts then..and you aren't alone as far as not eating as soon as you wake up. I can't do that or if I do I don't feel that well. I know my boyfriend of 8 years doesn't eat as soon as he wakes up.
|
Yeah.. I might have some fruit later though. My sister is like that too, she can't eat when she first starts moving around and all. My mom can, and it drives me insane @[email protected] I end up taking food to school and eating it at break during my first class. (I'm in a career center program thing, so i'm at the center half the day, and at my home school for lunch and core classes)
And when my mom had this sickness, she made the mistake of not having water handy.. she had welts on the inside of her mouth from where it got so dry. I think my mouth feels more dry than it should since I have a HORRIBLE habit of chewing on my tongue whenever I concentrate, so it's healing up and feels weird |
I have no idea what you took, but if you think its serious, you should go to a doctor. Otherwise, i would wate for the effects of the medication to wear off. Next time, though, dont combine two different medications, it could have been much worse.
|
Hahha I'll keep that in mind.. it was two of the same pills, so I should be fine.
It got better; I still get dizzy when I stand though.. I should be fine tomorrow ^w^ |
lets hope you do feel better tommorow! <3 im sure you will. but if you dont, maybe you should go to a doctor?
|
Stupid.
You do not take pills unless you have something totally wrong with you!!! This is coming from a person who absolutely fears medication... So, i guess you'll have to cope. Drink some tea in the morning to wake you up, and start a day with your tiredness |
Everything, including the peeing, sounds like an inner ear infection. It's just strange you haven't said anything about your ears hurting, just the other effects. And with any infection, you're going to pee more often then normal. (I find taking sleeping pills makes me need to pee no matter what, but that might be mental)
No fever? What about your throat and sinuses? Either way, go see a doc as soon as you can *nodnod* And I don't think you're stupid for taking pills. 2 of anything over the counter isn't going to have that much effect on someone.. if you took 6.. I might be worried. And if it's prescription.. well then you prolly take it often, and should know the side effects. |
That happens to me a lot. One thing I do when I take any sleep-inducing medicine is eat a small snack with it. For some reason when I eat it makes me sleepy, so it helps. Water is good, too.
I'm taking Vicodin right now for a toothache, it's supposed to make me exhausted but never ever does. :/ |
First of all, you cannot OD on two pills of over the counter medication. That's just not enough. xD You could have had a bad reaction to the medication, but you're probably just sicker than you thought. I'd probably get to a doctor though, because something like that could be quite serious. -nods-
