God! Sounds like we got a slew of dumb bitches on the list today. Ugh... *facepalm* >.<

Evetwo 11-13-2009 02:00 AM

Well, I saw a real winner yesterday. I was at the airport, getting a meal, and apparently this guy was mad because people who ordered their fast food after him were getting served first. Instead of trying to be patient with the woman working the registers, who really couldn't do anything aside from asking the cooks where his food was- which she did several times- he took it out on her as though it was her fault personally. The douche. I wanted to say something, but honestly the woman working the register didn't need my help. She just smiled it off and did her job. She really handled it well!

Now, I probally would get mad too..I wouldnt blaime it on her..and I wouldn't actully get to mad..I would complain..but only if I ordered something simple. If that guy ordered a special order..like no lettuce, no mayo,etc..then he should wait for that.

I hate it when people order special items, like no salt on the fries then expect things to be made ASAP.

Evetwo 11-13-2009 02:08 AM

It wasn't a special order. What it was, though, was incredibly crowded. They had six or eight people waiting for food and more waiting to make their orders. The airport was packed! And he acted like it was all this one person's fault.

I see, then..with that crowd I would expect that I would have to wait for food..

----

Once I was at Habachi's restaurant. They don't have a waiting list, instead you sit and wait. My husband and I where the first ones there, yet they seated a group of 6 before us. Which was fine, seeing that they where together and it was just us. When they finally seated us (Habachi's tables seat like 8 people I think) with a group of six other younger adults. After they got everyone's drink order the group of 6 that we where seated with got a phone call, apparently someone was wanting to join them. The host was going to boot us from the table, but I stood up and said if anyone was going to move it would be the group of six who had a late arrival after the fact. That group ended up texting their friend not to come.

Im sorry, but if Im seated and you have an arrival that was not part of the plan, im not moving for ya.

BitterBlue 11-13-2009 03:23 AM

I agree. :-x

That is very rude. Your customers aren't like a deck of cards you can shuffle over and over again. People go to a restaurant like that to eat and relax while enjoying a pleasant social outing. If the large group wanted to sit with their friends so badly, they should have requested another table and made arrangements to group together there, especially since they were the ones being inconvenient. Not boot people out of their seats on a whim just because they're the larger group. As I'm sure you could guess, I would have had a thing or two to say to those people. LOL! No one comes between me and my fucking Unagi!!!!! (Sushii - Fresh Water Eel) And anyone who does is getting jabbed with watashi no hashi desu yo! (jabbed with my chopticks ffs. ROFL! :ninja:  )

A girl after my own heart <3 I love Unagi..

Yamara X3 11-13-2009 04:45 AM

I've only worked retail for a few months but you are preaching to the choir especially about customers not bringing their cash! ESPECIALLY when I am ringing up a layaway, they buy all this CRAP and after I've told them repeatedly how the system works and how you can only use cash they still INSIST on using a debit card and get mad at ME when THEY don't have enough cash!! Idiots...

BitterBlue 11-13-2009 06:11 AM

Lady Megami: UNAGI FTW!

Yamara: We all feel your pain. Rofl. You should read some of the posts this thread has received. It's nuts. Lol. We've got quite a few colorful stories racking up here, so feel free to add any time! ;)

Lady_Megami 11-14-2009 03:51 AM

I have a funny story for you. I was at Little Ceasers one Sunday afternoon getting my babies some pizza for lunch. They where pretty backed, up. There where two cars in the drive through and a girl, myself and and older man inside waiting.

You know how they charge for their sauces? Well, while I was waiting for my pizza and the employee's backs where turned that girl (she was about 20ish) stole two of the cheese sauces. She hesitated for a moment, I guess waiting to see if anyone was gonna look and walked out of the store. While she was out, I called to the employee and told her that the girl had stole two sauces. All the time the older gentleman was just smiling. Well, when that girl came back in the employee called her out on the theft. Forcing the girl to pay, well that girl had a hissy fit and called the woman a liar and stupid for making her pay the $1 for the two sauces. Trying to get me to agree with her, not knowing that I was the one who called her out.

After I got my pizzas, I walked out to my car, her "friends" where emptying the car of all it's trash on the parking lot.

Shows how mature America's youth is..people like that is why we have the term "white trash" and I am not saying that in a derogatory manner..cause I am white...

I think it is despicable to try to steal something so small and get so angry when you get caught. I might be strange by calling her out on the theft of a dollars worth of product..but people like that are the reason why our taxes are so high, and our products are so expensive.

BitterBlue 11-14-2009 03:57 AM

Yeah and they're only the beginning. I've never stolen anything from a store, restaurant, etc... I've only stolen toys from my little brother when I was little and when he wasn't looking. LOL! But you're right. It's freakin retarded to steal something, KNOW you're stealing something, and then bitch about it when you get caught. Oh well. That kind of attitude will catch up with that little wench some day. People like that don't get very far for long.

Winter Wind 11-15-2009 12:27 AM

This is one of the most entertaining and understandable rants I've ever read.

I'm one of those get your stuff and bolt, because I hate wasting time in a store (and getting even more tempted.)

Kudos to you for dealing with all of this, I would've exploded longggg ago.

BitterBlue 11-15-2009 12:31 AM

ROFL! Thanks >.< I'm hoping to write one about traffic soon. LOL! I'm sure that one will receive equally entertaining responses.

darkwingedfaerie 11-17-2009 01:31 AM

Oh. My. God. Best rant ever. It basically summarizes my time working at a hot dog stand. Except people were more condescending there because people tend to look down on people working in the food industry. If you're a girl, you forgot to mention how men--sometimes married men standing WITH THEIR WIVES--will stare at your boobs, even after they realize I've been staring at them for the past few minutes. I think the worst customers are women with children. Aghh...or.....women on cellphones with children. >.<

BitterBlue 11-17-2009 01:47 AM

Hahaha. I am a girl indeed. I'm not exactly well-endowed in the chest department if you know what I mean, but I have enough to draw attention for sure. I always give them the "boob test" by holding my middle finger up discretely in front of my chest. If they notice it right away, then it's obvious they were looking and they usually turn plenty of shades of red before occupying themselves somewhere else. If they're focused on my face, they don't normally see it at all! *thumbs up* You should try it sometime. ;)

coccyx 11-17-2009 02:11 AM

You know, I'm 16, and for most this means first job time. And usually means retail or food service. And it's people like ones you describe that make me hate humanity in general.

And those who leave shopping carts all over the damn lot. I feel sorry for the guy who's going to have to stay late on Christmas day in the sleet and the 25-degree weather to collect all of those for your lazy asses who can't be bothered to walk 20 feet and put it away yourself.

And the people who eat the bakery food in Stop and Shop and don't pay for it. Not only is it shoplifting and illegal, but it raises the prices for the rest of us to make up for the deficit.

BitterBlue 11-17-2009 02:18 AM

Oh most definitely. That is an argumentative persuasion that could last for hours. People really do suck sometimes.

coccyx 11-17-2009 02:23 AM

And it's because of stupid people that I'm afraid to try on bathing suits.

I'm so sure someone's gotten period blood on that shit, or it's got crabs or herpes on it.

It's because of general idiocy most STDs continue to exist.

And on period blood, I also can't stand the idiots who leave their used pads/tampons around in the bathroom.

I could rant for hours on this topic.

BitterBlue 11-17-2009 02:45 AM

That's disgusting. Hahaha. Yeah. And that goes right along with changing rooms as well. Speaking of which, I need to toss those into the rant as well.

pamiishammy 11-17-2009 08:05 AM

Dang that was good!!

Once at work, this lady came through my line with a cart full of hams. She swore up and down that it was free ham day and started throwing a hissy fit when I told her it was not!

I had to call a manager up and she got so mad at him that she straight up broke the credit card machine off the register!!

What a freaking psycho!!

BitterBlue 11-17-2009 08:23 AM

Yikes! O_o I've run across some shopper psychos in my lifetime, but none of them that involved cartfuls of ham or customers tearing into the register like a wolverine.

pamiishammy 11-17-2009 08:40 AM

Yes, people can be harsh. But to be fair, even though I work in retail, I dont always pick up after myself when I am shopping either.
Sometimes I act like I dont realize I knocked a shirt off the hanger. Or I get to the front of the store and decide I dont want something and I just put it on a random shelf.
Its one of those things like *haha now I'm doing it to you!*
But then I feel bad afterwards...

BitterBlue 11-17-2009 08:49 AM

Well we all do that from time to time, and I don't know of anybody who could say they haven't. So long as no one is going out of their way to act like an ass, then it usually works out civil in the end.

SPEAKING of cash registers...! I actually got my ASS KICKED by one today! I don't know how the hell it happened, but when I totaled up the transaction and went to pop the drawer to put the money inside, SOMEHOW its springs/hinges/whatever the fuck came undone, and it actually CATAPULTED the till straight into my gut! (It also smashed into my thighs, knees, and ankles on the way down before heavily crash landing on my feet below soon afterward.)

I've had customers get in my face and act like they were going to punch me. But.. but not an evil register! It actually hurt my feelings! *sniffles* MY register kicked MY ass! It was possessed! And it slammed into me in a way that makes me suspect foul play. I know it must have planned it all out the night before and sat there laughing with its register buddies before I came in. They're all mocking me! I'm going to come back at them with fucking GRENADES! MUAHAHAHA!

Kaylesha Blackheart 11-19-2009 04:16 AM

I can so relate.

BitterBlue 11-19-2009 04:18 AM

Can you relate to getting your ass kicked by the actual cash register??? T.T
