I'm not really sure if this belongs in here, if it doesn't...sorry! >_< Hopefully it gets moved to the right place.

Er okay, a few weeks ago a had a serious case of rashes. At first I thought I was getting sick from some kind of virus but 2 days later it went away. I asked friends what they think it could be and apparently it might have been allergies or something I ate.
I'm still trying to figure it out.
There is one thing I seriously think caused it but I don't want to just jump into conclusions.
Can deodorant cause rashes? It came a few days AFTER I last used it.
If they can, what should I use instead? o///////o

Well, are the rashes under your arm pits? on your body?

It could be the deodorant....I would test. If it is your deodorant..it might be a chemical in it..

@ Lady_Megami: No, they weren't there.
They were on my back, shoulders, arms, and a bit on my legs.
Some were on my face too.

Yeah, testing would be a good-ish idea. I guess. I don't want to risk missing another day of school if it is the cause of the rashes.

Have your mom call your doctor, It could be a food allergy or something else.

I have to agree, sounds like food allergies. There's no way that's a reaction to your deoderant unless you put it on your arms, legs, shoulders, back and face instead of your underarms. Becuase the reaction would only occur where the deoderant made contact and in every spot it made contact.

Again, I would have to agree. If it were a reaction to the deoderant then the rash would be localized to the points of contact. but a food allergy, hives and rashes can show up anywhere. You might want to be careful. When you are exposed to a new allergy, it usually isn't until the second exposure that a more severe allergic reaction will occur. So try to think of any new food you might have tried recently, (the day the rash showed up.)

What kind of rash was it? Such as, was it painful or itchy? What colour was it? Was it solid or splotchy? What were you doing when you noticed it?

@ Lady_Megami & Vukavo: All right, that does sound kind of...well..."reasonable". I've never had rashes this big before so I don't really know anything.

@ kid-kokopelli: I think it was actually here the day before the big case of rashes came. It was before I went to sleep and the next morning when I was on the computer, I noticed that my neck area was still a little itchy. Then in the afternoon it got worse.

@ Sen Lee: I'm not sure how to describe it. It was red...and had little bumps like bug bites only smaller. Not painful but very itchy. Splotchy.
And I was on the computer.

Hmm... yeah, it might have been an allergy. Or something. I don't think you should worry about it unless it reoccurs.

If you're truly unsure and worried, you may consult a dermatologist for this.

:3 Or someone who knows a thing or two about allergies. O_o I think the derma does I believe

Do you have a history of allergies in the first place?

Nope, the only think I know I'm allergic to for sure, are cats.

Did you buy any chance where new clothing? Maybe you changed the soap used to wash your cloths? Could be allergic to that? Maybe its some sort of food allergy instead? Maybe grass? Not sure what else it could be ~.~;;

it could also have been a case of hives. that usually occurs over emotional problems. i've had them before and they were all over my body and very itchy. have you been upset about something lately?...i mean, besides the rash. lol

@ Alexial_Rose: I thought that at first, but then it couldn't be because I do all the laundry.

@ nikhaeli: I've been kind of upset for a few days.

Can bad apples cause rashes too? I remember eating an apple the day before I got that. The apple inside near the heart was brown but I ate the good parts. >_>;

My brother used to get rashes and he would whine about it...>.> I told him to use baby powder and it seemed to help. And he thought it was the cause of deodorant as well...and baby powder makes you smell nice too xD ;;; Just trying to help..it could be allergic, so doctor would be a good choice. Good Luck///rashes are ew.
