Dont you hate working with people that you just cant stand? whenever Im at work and I need to get something from this person they always have an attitude with me. Its something so simple that I can get myself and she just gives me a hard time over something so simple. Since she is part of this department she thinks she kinda like owns it-Its pathetic. Its really annoying. One of the reasons I am dreading to go in today.

Yea and unfortunately, it seems like there's always someone like that no matter where you work . . . . .

Wherever you go, you'll find people whom you cannot stand. Most of the time you just have to deal with it :/, though sometimes talking to said person may work. Most of the time... it doesn't, unfortunately.

I agree with the last 2 posts. None of your jobs will be perfect. I work at a restaurant and some of the workers don't like me because I'm the youngest one there and "they had to wait until they were 21 to get a job like mine". If you really like your job then stay and ignore the people who are keeping you down. That's what I do because I love talking to the customers and making people laugh at their tables.

That is the best philosophy one work, especially a restaurant. When I worked for a Boston Pizza, almost a year ago, alot of the kitchen staff hated both myself and the other kitchen supervisor just because I had only been there 8months, and the other guy was there for only 3months. Granted, almost everyone knew the other guy was hired because they needed a supervisor. But me, I work my ass off(almost literally!) for the first 8months I was there, and they ask me if I wanted to become a supervisor. Of course I said yes(pay raise, plus being able to put leading a kitchen on my resume), even while the people that were there for 2-3years(and werent going anywhere in life really, being huge drug users and drunks) hated my guts because I was showing them off. I ignored them and kept doing what I did until I had to leave that job(2 years total working there) due to school.

A boss of mine, whom I respect, told me: You really can't let other people affect how you work. And it's true beyond doubt. It's actually why I'm where I'm at. My store downsized and I lost my job. My managers did absolutely evrything they could for me. As it is, I ended up with a larger paycheck, kept the full time, and am in a brand spanking new, GORGEOUSE store. Why? Because I work my ass off for them. I take a lot of pride in my work.

And it's earned me enemies of my own. This is what I see though.....There's two in particular. Neither one of them are very good in their jobs right now. I've done those jobs before, and well. So I know things, and am called to step in by the store Manager to help a lot. They don't like me because of it. So when I ask for a small thing once or twice from them, they get downright verbal with me. It can hurt, the things they say. People who are like that always seem to know the one thing to say to really get to you. But I do two things, 1) I remember that they are just being petty, and 2) I remember the Pearls Before Swine comic strip where Rat has the Mallet O' Understanding. Every time someone disagrees with him, he'll whap them with it. I just imagine thwattling the snotty attitude out of them, smile at them, nod, and walk off the better for it. It's a great way to appear calm and pleasant, and still have a little revenge.
