So while I was napping this afternoon,(yeah I know sooooo kindergarten) I had this dream where I was in this kind of arcade/warehouse place and I'm in there with 2 guys who I both know. One of them is one of my ex-boyfriends and the other is a guy I know and am interested in but I'm too scared to make a move. Anyway I don't know how this happened but I ended up giving my ex a kiss and his lips were so huge and they overpowered mine and it was just not pleasant. But then I get over to my friend and we start making out. I don't think you have to be Freud to figure this one out. God, am I so desperate for a relationship that I have to dream about it?

There's nothing desperate about dreaming. You think I want to dream of my 3D teacher pantless in cowboy boots? Even if I did that would be irrelevant. We dont choose our dreams. Our subconcious mind is just having fun by putting random pieces of our thoughts and memories together. I dont think dreams have a meaning unless you want them to.

Dreams have honestly nothing to do with anything. They do not tell the future, they do not tell you what you secretly desire, they are simply unexplainable images and scenarios you have when you sleep.
Don't think too hard about it. If dreams meant anything there would be a lot more distraught people in the world. Not to mention some really screwed up crap...

I wish you could control what you dream about. =( If you could, I would dream about awesome things. XD

Ooh, me too! XD I'd have way awesome dreams! Since my dreams kinda suck. They're either really boring or really random, even though every now and then I get a cool dream, usually random, but in a good way. XD
*directed at first post* LOL, not kindergarden! I pretty much pass out on the couch after school for like, 3 hours at least once or twice a week. XD Okay, maybe a little kindergarden....Just a little. X)

On the contrary from what most people have already posted, I'm one of those people who do believe some of what you dream about can actually mean something. I've had several occasions where something in my dream has actually happened (it happens AFTER the dream), and I won't remember about it, until it's actually happened. Also I have a LOT of dreams where I'm EXTREMELY violent (ex: killing people, and basically acting completely outta character). But I do think that violent dreams are a way of relieving stress. But it is possible that your dream means that you want a relationship.
But those are just my thoughts on the manner. There is no proof that states what happens in a dream can be real or fake. So it's best not to think about it too much.

It is possible to control your dreams, you just need to train your mind to do it.
:] I manipulate my dreams all the time. For example, if I'm dreaming of zombies, and I die...I rewind and do something else and keep going on with my dream.
I don't know if that's just me... but maybe a dreamcatcher will help with the bad dreams?

YOU CAN It just takes time to learn how your mind works. But once you find what you can control then you can piece things together the way you want them to be not the other way around.

Same here. I really do think most of my dreams mean something. I say most because sometimes I can't remember the dreams. I have also had a lot of de-ja-vu moments and most of the time I dreamt about it beforehand. And this isn't the first dream where I've kissed somebody. But the thing about these dreams is when I kiss the person, it feels like I'm really kissing them. I can actually feel the texture of the lips. It's so weird.

Speaking of weird, I had got stabbed in my dreams, and when I woke up, I couldn't feel my legs, it was so weird. I was able to move them a few moments later. Also in one of my dreams, I was dying, then I woke up before I "died", and I was gasping for breath when I got up. I think I could of died in that dream for real @ [email protected]

i remember once when I was in some weird spacey mostly dreaming state and I was falling backwards. And then I woke up and i was actually falling backwards. O.o and apparently with some force, i bounced up off the couch several times before i landed completely. I wonder if i had been standing up? I've sleep-walked once or twice before. But it was weird. I just layed there for a minute before i said out loud, "What the fuck was that?!"
I've had dreams where i saw something that was actually going to happen. I was sitting at some shitty computer with my mom (i was 6) waiting for it to load, and it was taking forever. I looked over and saw this green sphere thing buried under some stuff (we were in an unfamiliar house too). She saw me looking at it and said "Oh yeah, i almost forgot; i got this for you." And she pulled out a giant stuffed bulbusaur (pokemon fanatic i am XD ). And then, a year later, it happened. The reason the house was unfamiliar was because she moved that summer, and that was her new house. When it really happened, i suddenly said "OMG I DREAMED THIS!!!" XXDD
@Laila Izuka-- yeah, i'm always actually doing what i did in my dreams when i wake up. Like, if i was laughing at the end of the dream, then i'll wake up and stop myself mid-laugh. If i was freaking out in the dream, or dying, i wake up panicking and unable to breath, with my heart racing. Even the general position. Like, if i'm dying in a dream, and i'm grabbing at my throat, I'll wake up gasping and fumbling with my neck, etc. It's weird.

I wouldn't worry about it, I've had dreams that don't even make sense.

I believe that all dreams have a meaning. I know this is a late reply, but I do believe that your subconscious was trying to tell you something. From my point of view, I believe that your subconscious was telling you that you need to let go of all ties with your ex boyfriend (if there are any) and move on to a new relationship that will be much better. I don't think that you're desperate for a relationship, but you need to listen to your dream.
I always try to decipher my dreams if I have one that I can't control (I can usually control what I dream about), because my subconscious is telling me that something needs to be fixed/changed. If I have a recurring dream, I pay especial attention to it because I know that my subconscious is particularly worried about something that is holding me back. Only when I figure out that recurring dream does it finally go away. (Important because my recurring dreams have a tendency to be scary/disturbing to get my attention)
I've never downplayed the importance of dreams, I don't think there's such a thing as a random dream. I do believe, however, that if you are trying to decipher a dream, a dream dictionary will do you no good, because your mind doesn't have access to said dictionary and thus knows none of those meanings. The only person that can decipher your dreams is you.
