V-day 1am. My boyfriend was victim to a hit and run car crash. The other driver had to be going about 30 to do the damage that was done to my BF's car. I got his call at 2 am. The only reason he went to that part of town was to see where to go to the hockey game and how to get around.

I'm still freaked out about the whole thing. I only feel normal when I'm on the phone with him or with him.

Is it normal for this to be freaking me out so much? I cried half way through work yesterday night and only spoke to my manager to at least tell him what happened. Bf knows i'm upset about it. I just haven't told him how upset I am because I'm afraid it would really upset him more.

I think it's normal, you care for him and could have lost him. And it's always hard when you lose or are threatened with the loss of someone you care about.

I agree with Kuroko_Kono. It's normal to feel like that when you hear news like that about someone so close. It's probably even normal when it's someone you barely knew. Just hang on and use this to realize how much you really care for him.

It is normal to feel that way. I was the same way when my ex called me to tell me he got into an accident. Although he wasn't hurt I was still really upset about it. I was out of state at the time camping with my aunt and I didn't function well with out talking to him on the phone. When I got back I spent as much time with him as I could. I guess it was the fact that he could have been hurt that made me so crazy afterward. It's good that your boyfriend knows that you are shaken up about the accident, but if the feeling doesn't go away, I'd suggest letting him know how upset you are.

I fell like you felt Fallen. I talked to him a little last night. I feel better.

its perfectly natural to feel what you are feeling, my dear.

unless its disrupting your day to day activities, which is a sign of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, your feelings will pass.

hang in there and stay strong! Best wishes to both of you!
