Possibly Pregnant: Any Advice or Suggestions? (may be some mature content)
Okay, so I think I could be pregnant. My symptoms:
My period was due this week, but hasn't arrived yet. My breasts are sore. Fatigue-I am more tired than usual. Bloating Lower back pain-Idk if that's a pregnancy symptom I'm supposed to have yet or not... Changed appetite-Either really hungry or not very much so Mild, Dull Headaches Now, I do intend to take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. I am a bit nervous. Whether I'm pregnant or not, everything will be fine. I just want to know if you guys have any advice, if you've been pregnant before, if my symptoms sound like yours, anything... Thanks! I really appreciate it in advance :) |
To be honest, you just sound like me when my periods aren't on time
If you've changed your eating habits, sleeping habits, or are more stressed than usual, then it's possible that you might not be pregnant and your body is just changing its hormones to accomodate for these other changes. If you get a test that comes back positive, you'll need to see a doctor. They have more accurate tests and it is possible to get false positives with the at-home tests. If you're pregnant, then my advice is useless because I've never been pregnant  |
Well if anything it'll get you to be more careful about this stuff.
Although in all honesty it does sound potential but I don't know much about female symptoms when pregnant. |
I agree with Keyori, could just be a change in habit...
With school and everything you might just be over stressed. Course a pregnancy test could help, and a doctors test tends to be more positive. Good Lucky Hun^^ |
Just to be on the safe side, get a pregnancy test. If you have missed your period, then the tests should be accurate. Just go down to a drug store, and buy one. The best kind to get are the one's that have two or more in them in case you can't read the test. Take in in the morning, for best results. Our if you can't wait try to at least wait until you really need to pee.
I would suggest getting a test from the drug store, especially if you are underage, since your parents can find out. Also this way you have time to think of what you want to do. If you are pregnant you have to figure out what you need to do. There are choices like adoption, terminating the pregnancy, or having the baby. If your choose to terminate the pregnancy then you must tell your doctor right away since you can't get it done after two month. Also never go to an abortion clinic, these things can be very cruel. Do what your doctor recommends you to do, like getting a medical D&C. If you choice to keep the baby, then you should make sure you tell a doctor soon, and have daily ultra sounds in case you miscarry. If you choice to give the child up, then talk to your doctor and parents. They will usally take care of everything. Hope this helps a little bit. I've been through three pregnancy scares, and one medical D&C. It's actually just because I have a really high fertility level not cause I'm not being safe D: |
Thanks everyone!
I am going to take a pregnancy test, most likely today. I am 21, so there's no need for secrecy as far as parents are concerned. If I'm pregnant, I'll keep the baby. If it's just stress or hormones, then that's okay too. Either way everything will be fine :) Thanks so much guys for the help and I'll make sure to post the results of my test! |
So, I took 2 at home pregnancy tests and they were positive (I'm pregnant), so I am going to the doctor really soon! I am happy and know that all will turn out well either way :)
AND...I'm ENGAGED!! I picked out the ring and go to pick it up with my fiance on Thursday!!! :D (By the way, he proposed before I took any pregancy tests, lol.) |
Congrats on the engagement!!
I hope that everything goes well with the pregnancy! |
Congrats! Being pregnant is... an adventure, I guess. :XD It's different for every woman, so don't go by what I say.
The best advice for early on in the pregnancy that I can give you is this: - get a prenatal vitamin, now - get a fish oil supplement, now (or cold-pressed flax seed from the grocery store) - if you get morning sickness in the next few weeks, drink lots of water and eat, even when you feel like there's no way you can - cramping is normal (scared the daylights out of me before I knew this) - spotting (not bleeding) is normal in your stage That's all I can think of. :XD Those were some of the issues I've had early on. I'm only 19 weeks now, so if you ever need an ear, toss me a PM. Good luck with everything! |
Congrats. I know the kid wasn't all that planned, but at least you have time to make a plan for it. I wish the best for you and your family now. (:
Also, Chi. I'm so excited for you!! ^^ Half way there, huh? |
@Chi-Thanks for the advice!
Thanks so much guys! I'm excited :D We are currently making wedding plans...planning on the wedding in 3 months! We were originally planning on the wedding being in about 6 months to a year, but I want to have the wedding before I have the baby and before I am too far along. It's a short amount of planning time, but we'll make it, lol. |
That was how my sister felt all through her pregnancy. But it wasn't always bad.. It could be hormones or something else.. Yam's creme worked best for her.. But you have to be careful and not over do it. Also talk to your doctor about things that could help..
the cocoa butter to prevent stretching did not work, so I wouldn't waste money on that.. Besides they shrink if not disapear completely.. And eventually just about every one has some.. Let us know if you are? |
Make the wedding sweet and simple and as stress free as you can. Stress can be bad for the baby. Three months you are in summer, make it pretty and sweet. Simple flowers and hand made center pieces. Congrats sweetie.
|
@Anjiu-Sure, I'll let you know :) My doctor's appointment is tomorrow!
@Runes-Thanks!! Yeah, so far the planning has been pretty easy. It's coming together nicely. My mom is helping with everything, so that's a big load off my plate. The wedding isn't going to be really big anyway. |
Ooh! Congrats on the earlier wedding, too. :3 I bet it will be a gorgeous ceremony.
I'm excited for you! |
Thanks Chi!
SO-I went to the doctor today and I am pregnant. I also started on a prenatal vitamin. They estimated that I am about 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I also now have my wedding dress :) |
Yay wedding dress!! ^^
It's great that this is all falling together so nicely. Very lucky for you. (don't mean to jinx it x.x) |
Thank you :) Waiting on confirmation from the event coordinator of the building...They have to let us know if we got the date we want. I'll know Sunday!!
|
Lol. Thank you!! :)

I really think that you should see a doctor and have them give you another test to see if you are pregnant. If you are pregnant, you need to start talking with your doctor about healthy things for you to do while you are carrying the child.
