so a couple summers ago I met this really awesome guy from a small town that I just completely fell for. We had an exciting fling but every time I asked him if he wanted to seriously date me he would either avoid the question or give me some reason why he wasn't ready. eventually we stopped talking because I was tired of getting my hopes up for nothing... but I never really got over him. but now i guess he's engaged and having a kid and I'm glad he found someone but at the same time i just wanna know why he was never willing to try for me when he would always say I was amazing and awesome and I just... I dunno. I've felt like I've had a weight sitting on my chest for the last week now.

aw *hugs* Without asking him yourself why he chose her over you, theres not much you can do except try to move on. It hurts but if he's engaged and having a kid, chances are he's happy in the relationship he's in, so the best thing you can do is first be happy with yourself again, and then, when you're ready, find someone to be happy with.

actually he's engaged because he knocked the girl up... but still you know. I wish him the best and all but it's just stupid how I was good enough to lead along and mess around with but not good enough for even attempt at a relationship. I'm so just ARGHHH frustrated and confused by it all

I HATE shot-gun weddings. I really do, so many of my ex-classmates from high school were forced to marry because they got pregnant! Either do abortion, adoption or be a single parent for awhile, don't just marry the guy that knocked you up and have a miserable marriage because he isn't the "one"! Argh!!

That guy should've given you a reason, but he's too spineless to give it =/ He should've just opted for child support instead of marrying someone he knocked up. A marriage without true love is no marriage at all.

well i sincerely HOPE he cares for her because I agree... I marriage without love is worthless. I think it's the part that hurts the most is that I'll never know what could have been... like I've tried to talk to him before any of this drama went down and its like... he was still willing to mess with my mind but I still wasn't worth a shot... I dunno :(

Well you hear about romantic stories about high school sweethearts dating for awhile and then lose touch only to find out 40 years later that their spouses passed on or divorced and they found each other and married for good <3

Maybe you'll be that high school sweetheart couple...depends on whether you want to wait 40 years for him.

I feel you I had this thing with my first boyfriend we both love each other but when he went to his party he got a girl pregnant and he loved her and made my heart break and I couldn't stand it he said he loved me but loved her so I broke up with him with that and sometimes I think if it was the right thing or not but I know I did the right thing and sometimes I want to know what he is doing now but that is the past I hope that helps.
