Menewsha Avatar Community - Picking Favorites (rant thread)

I hate when my boss picks favorites. I just got promoted. Moved into the cash office. I was trained for a week, but still have a bunch of questions about everything. Yes, they may be stupid, but she is the only one who can answer them. So after getting the most none-helpful answer, I usually do it wrong. Not only that, I do a lot of running around. Instead of doing my own work, I get stuck doing things for everyone else. Then yelled at for doing it.

But she picks favorites! I had my hours cut last week to ten hours. and I was cashiering. Because the two other cashiers didn't want to do it.. Keep in mind That I count the money. I am not supposed to ring. If that drawer falls too short, I can get fired. But seriously, it just pisses me off.

One of the department managers stepped down to become an associate. He was going back to school... He only got seven hours last week. It it just really ticks me off how she is allowed to do that. And how the two just complain and get what they want. Not only that, I just love the things they say about me. How I dont do my work and such.

So, what I want to know is, Anyone else deal with with picking favorites bit? Any suggestions? I am a very quiet person, and have tried speaking with the store manager. But she always shoots me down. I have only had this job for maybe a month, and I am still learning. I want to keep the job, but it is so hard to deal with this stuff..

Oh, I may add. I am 18 working with people who are probably twenty+ years older than me. I work in a craft store also. Not giving the company name away because of legal reasons. So I have a feeling it is because of my age. I already have costumers who dont believe me when I answer their questions.
