Have you ever put your foot in your mouth on like an epic level?

I tend to do this with my friends sometimes.

I was talking to this guy I know, and he was telling me about a story he wants to write. It involves a character finding a sword that belonged to an angel, and getting powers etc.

I offhandedly mentioned that it seemed to resemble Thor...

Let's just say he didn't take it well.

Ever done something like that?

I thought you didn't subscribe to the social contract and people who take offense to your honesty need to get over it.

It wasn't that he was offended. He just freaked out and thought he'd get sued. He's autistic, and I don't like getting him all freaked like that.

Regardless of whether I'm trolling, you lack the power to tell me where to post. My post was on topic in the sense that you very recently made an entire topic that this one contradicts. (It's still vaguely contradictory, even after you explained it.)

So, basically, only certain people are immune to your "don't hate me for being honest" thing. Got it.

That thread was about toleration of my eccentricities, and weird behavior, and my lack of social graces to those who are rude to me first. Bill wasn't rude to me. Therefore he does not fall under the category, and has nothing to do with the thread.

Ever bash this complete jerk of a guy - and I mean just tear him to shreds in the confidentiality of you and your good friend to later find out that the girl you just vented too, is dating the guy you vented about? [Well, they just started....I said if maybe she ad told me they were dating it would have never happened...etc. I was still in the wrong though...haha]

But yeah. I think lots of people have that kind of incident every now and then, or maybe they dont. Maybe some people just have great judgment, which I usually have. It was not exactly shining at that time that day. But yeah, dont feel too bad. If you off offhandedly mentioned it Im sure it will be okay. And Im sure your friend can not get sued as long as he changes the names, and places, and the plot line.
