Is anyone else sick of people bitching about not having insurance, when they could afford it, they just choose to spend their money on other things???
My brother-in-law has this girlfriend who's currently on Facebook bitching about not having insurance, saying that our state should have free healthcare for those who can't afford it...
When she gets her hair done, her nails done regularly, buys weed and pills and liquor, goes out partying at bars and going out to eat, buying clothes every week. She could afford insurance and then some, but she wants the state to give it to her for free so she can keep spending her money on drugs and clothes. It f*cking pisses me off.
We work our asses off to provide for our family and it's still barely enough. Yet she thinks we should be taxed more to allow more people to get free health insurance. I'm sorry, but I'm not okay with bringing home 1/2 of what I actually made so you can go and f*cking get your hair and nails done and buy drugs.
GAAHHHH. I flipping HATE people like that!!! D=<

i have always thought that states should tax the crapolla out of drugs.
that would bring in crazy amounts of rrevenue for states that need it desperately.
just her not getting her nails done twice a month would pay for expensive health insurance policy.

i don't get anything free from the government and i don't understand why people think the government should pay their bills.
i don't like living within my means, but as a responsible adult/sigh/that is exactally what i do.
but, that being siad, it bothers me that we can't have insurance compains like we do drivers/automobile insurrance.

You have no idea. I work in a pharmacy, and see the absolute worst of people trying to get a free ride.
Recently I had a woman come in to pick up her script, and Medicare charged her a $1.00 copay. To start off, she's only on Medicare because she claims disability, and IS getting a free ride. I'm not going to go into her story, but it happened a very long time ago, she is PERFECTLY fine now, just wants to keep using the system and get cheap pain meds she doesn't need.
Anyway, she went all nuts about how ridiculous it was for Medicare to even think of charging her a DOLLAR for her prescription, and slammed her Michael Kors purse onto the counter to grab a dollar.
I think my face went through a range of 'o.o' to '-.-' in a matter of seconds. People abuse the system, get a free ride/money and suck it dry for the people who ACTUALLY need the help. It's atrocious.
But trust me, it happens A LOT.

Yeah, don't even get me started on people abusing the system. I'm a minimum wage worker and live off of $7.45 an hour and I don't have insurance because I really can't afford it. It's the same people that go on food stamps or any other government program because they spend money on stupid stuff and refuse to give up things like cell phones, getting their hair/nails done and stuff like that. No, You do not NEED a cell phone, you do not need cable or a TV or even to pay for internet. People just don't want to give up "comfort items" and actually work for themselves.
I was denied health care help because I'm sick and they won't cover me. That's pretty messed up if you ask me considering that my last visit to the ER cos me nearly $2000 and the one before that over $1000 for six stitches. That's a joke if you ask me considering stitches are easy to do and there is no reason things should cost that much other than greedy doctors. But yeah, it ticks me off that people that are perfectly fine have no reason to need aide and get it.

It's absolutely sickening how people abuse the system, and you're not the only one who's tired of it. I'm sorry, but I think it all comes down to laziness. People want to have their little comforts, not give them up for things they need or really should try to have. Why pay for health care when you can buy a new flatscreen tv, and then rip off the government by pulling some cheap stunt? Gross.
