I don't talk to nor see my sister since she moved out when I was 15, and my half brother is pretty much a nobody to me despite living in the same house.
My family aren't really the bonding type. I shared a room with my sister from the age of about 6. We have never had any form of close relationship. There were no redeeming moments but no major drama. I've never really had conversations beyond a hello or answering a question with my step father or half brother. I'm not home often enough for it to matter or be an issue either. To be honest, it all suits me just fine. I wouldn't have it any other way. If I want a close relationship or hugs, advice, support, care from anyone, i'll go to my friends. |

Odd... ALL my siblings are about 10 years older than me
Ummm I don't really know the two sisters from my dad's pervious marriage all that well but I like them okay... Though they're more like friends of the family than siblings really. One of my older sisters from my mom's previous marraige doesn't speak to the family anymore (She kind of went a little nuts and started saying awful lies about our mom and other things) I get along okay with my other older sister... But when I was a kid she was really hard on me... She would beat me up and make fun of me a lot and just made my life hell... And she was of course 10 years older than me so that's really bad... all and all I say I have a good relationhip with her now... But as a kid she really fucked up my life. And as for my brother... My only happy childhood memories of siblings were with him... He lives in california now so we don't talk much and I guess these days we could be a lot closer... But back then he was my hero... |
I have four older brothers ranging in age from two to ten years older than I.
I got along with them as well as could be expected when we were growing up with me being the "baby sister" as well as the only girl. I live in a different state than they do now, so we probably don't talk as much as we should, but I know they'd be there for me as I would for them if either needed it. |
I never talk to my sister, cause she still lives in the states and i moved to holland so we never talk. I get along with my two brothers we fight alot but we are ther for eachother. At least i am for them^^ Moving to a new country will 'closesen' you with your siblings

My brother and I do NOT get along at all. xD
Most of the time we can, but we prefer not to. But I live downstairs, and he's upstairs, so it's no biggie. We hardly ever see each other anymore. |
My relationship with my younger (13 years difference) half brother is... umm.. More in a care taker way. He's just starting to be able to make sense when he talks but he still manages to get on my nerves. I constantly help out with him and I don't think there's a day when I don't do something with him. It's nice to have a younger brother... It makes me not want to have kids anytime soon ^^;

I get along really well with my older brother (18) and sister (16). I can always as them for advice, I ask my big brother for advice on school work etc and I ask my big sister for advice on the usual teenage stuff x3 I love my baby brother (4) so much! He's such a cutie and really cheers me up when I'm upset. He's the best baby brother in the world xD Ok, my little brother ( 8 ) and my little sister (11) are a different story. They are so annoying and sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out because of them! I do love them though, ofcourse and there are loads of times when we actually do get along. But that's rare xD |
I have an older brother whom I get along with just magically.
Heck, he would even buy me booze in my Freshman year of college. I wuv him :oops: But he's a redneck drunk. He needs to stop drinking so much alcohol, really. |
I get along with my brother okay but I would definantly not want to live with him again. He is so freaking annoying!!

Eeeeh. My little brother's the only pereson i could honestly say i hate. >_>;;; which is pretty bad. xD he's really annoying and selfish and blah blah blah. XD Sometimes having a sibling is fine but i wish i was either an only child, or had an older/younger sister. xD;

I hate when people say they wished their siblings would die. It's such a horrible thing to say. My older brother died when I was only eight and he was the only one I had. I'd surely take anyone's sibling off their hands since I feel so alone. I guess the kids who say those harsh things would have to go through what I did to understand how terrible their wishes sound.

Recently, my sister and brother and I have been getting along better x3 I guess its because my dad has been more annoying lately, and its kind of an attempt to get together against him. xDD I used to always fight with my brother (verbally), but now we get along much better and talk more. :3

O get on fine with mine. Always have done. We used to have the odd playfights, but never really didnt get on with each other. He's leaving home soon though so i wont see him around so much.

i'm the eldest of 3 kids. i've got two younger brothers, who i still call 'little brother', eventhough they've outgrown me :D
i can get along with them just fine... :) funny thing is: when i was younger, i could get along better with the eldest of the two [who is 1 year younger than me...] i found my littleist brother who is 4 years younger than me very annyoing. right now i can get along better with my youngest brother, because he's getting older too, and becoming less the 'annoying little brother' :D ... |
I'm a single child but I live with my two older cousins ever since I was a baby so I consider them my brother and sister. I get a long fine with them and we are very close more closer than the usual relationship between cousins because we see each other as brother or sister not in a ''wow it's cousin Joe again :roll: '' attitude that most people have. We do get in arguments but we quickly make up.

I was always sort of the outcast with my siblings. My sister and brother were always super close, and both older then me. My brother suffered from sever middle child syndrome, and took it out on me. He and I STILL can't stand each other, but we manage to be civil. He's in university and still has middle child issues. My sister and I get along now. But, when it's the three of us, they become what I call the "two-headed monster" as they fall back on what they did when we were just kids.
When I got a little older I tried to write it off as me being over sensitive, but my sister has since sort of confirmed what I always felt, so, I don't feel so bad about saying that I'm excluded from them. |
I get a long pretty well with my brother. He's two years younger, and the nicest kid his age I know (none of this I hate my older sister junk). He's also a bit autistic, so that can get annoying sometimes. But I wouldn't trade him for anything.
I also live next door to 5 of my cousins, so half the time they seem more like siblings than actual cousins. I get along very well with two of them (brother and sister) and the other thing (whom have different parents than the first two) I don't really get along with that much, except when I have to. >.> |
For the most part I get along with my siblings. I used to not get along with my brother at all until he moved out. Now I hardly see him because he lives way down south. I still get in fist fights with my one sister every now and then, but over all it's not too bad.

My brother and I fought up until he moved out about seven years ago. Since then we get along WONDERFULLY. [No, it has nothing to do with with the 512 MB of RAM he gave me.. >> <<] My sister just moved out and we're already getting along better. Back when we were both younger, I used to sleep on the floor in her room. We got along there, then she got "popular" and I got antisocial. :D

Reading other people's posts, I'm really really really glad I don't have a sister. I think I would go crazy. Mostly because I'm not social at all, and I'm not girly at all. So any sister of mine would probably be completely different from me, and thus we wouldn't get along. Also, girls together tend to fight more often than guys together, or girls and guys. But that's just my observation.

I have an older brother and a younger brother, and I get along with both of them fairly well.
I get along with my older brother a bit better since we were raised together and are fairly close in age so we have more in common. My little brother is less than half my age, so there's some difference in interests X3 I'm a passive person by nature, but sometimes his logic is a bit hard to work around >.< But he can be a really sweet kid at times <3 My family in general gets along fairly well. Again, mostly 'cause we're a bit more passive than most (me perhaps being the most passive X3). My fight tactic is to roll over and play dead Xp |
