I definitely have a crush on someone. But I don't want to have a crush on him, it'll effect our relationship. And I don't want him to know that I have a crush on him..Help? ;.;

I'm sure when you hug him you'll get a better idea if you like him or not. If your stomach drops or you get really clammy, then you might have a thing for him.

I'd say you have a crush on him, yes. But it is most definitely not love. You barely know him.
You could always try asking him out, or getting to know him. But it depends on why he's "annoying". If he's just a little immature or something, he may not be like that around someone he likes and wants to impress. But if he's honestly a jerk or something, I'd suggest keeping the crushy feelings inside and not hassling yourself with him. |

Just for an idea, how old is he? He may grow out of the immaturity soon. Some guys don't in their teen years, but many at least know when to be serious, and when to be goofy. And don't judge how mature or immature he is when he's with his guy friends. He's just goofing off then. ^^ |

The word Love gets thrown around so many times that it's slowly losing the main purpose of it.
I think you just might have a crush on him or even just like him. It happens a lot, someone who is so annoying will get attached to you and you'll slowly start to like them for it....or something. I dunno. D: |

Oh yes, there is a HUGE difference between crush and love.
A crush is just that giggley, stomach-knotty liking of someone. Blushing or getting nervous when they're around. The urge to talk to them more, and do things to impress them (even subconciously. Like doing big dramatic oral presentations in a class you have with them, wearing more makeup when you see them, dressing better when around them, getting into things they like so you can talk to them about it, making jokes around them) etc. Love is... Love is deep. You know it when you're in it. Love is wanting that person to be happy, even if it means you're not with them (I.E. They'd be happy with someone else). Love is not letting a disagreement or argument ruin or taint things, but rather wanting to overcome everything. Love is knowing you'd feel like dying if you ever hurt that person in any way. Love is having a best friend, not just someone you think is cute. Love is calmer than a crush. Stronger than a friendship. Love is huge. And great. Uhm, sorry for the rant type babble thing. Just... Love and crush are totally different things. XD |

Good luck with the hug hun! Crushes are a lot of fun, but if it doesn't work out it isn't the end of the world. Love will roll around later, don't be in a hurry, throwing that word out there without really really knowing is just never a good idea.
