Now this is something thats been on my mind and i really need an impartial view of the situation... Is it wrong for a person to keep a rather graphic account of their past sexual history? I've recently started writing a sort of autobiography of my sex life, a recording of the growth of my very complicated sexual identity... But when i mentioned the idea to a few of my ex's that i still talked to they seemed abit upset at me. Is it wrong that i want to keep track of these things? are they just embarassed about THEIR sexuality? Theres just alot of questions i'm trying to answer all at once... Its not like i'm planning on publishing this book, when i'm done with it i'm just going to lock it away somewhere and just take it out to keep track of my sex life as it continues to progress.
So yes... i could use some advice or just opinions. Keep in mind though that this book will really never be made public, its for me and me only...

well unless you are making it public and/or add your past partners names and details about them, I don't think it's "wrong", but it isn't excatly nice either for your ex's.. if you want to, you could ask their opinions first if they want to be in one.
It's just a bit weird though if you ask me xP

It sounds to me that people are scared of hearing about your past. You should be able to write this book and not care for what others say. If you want to keep a record, then that is your own choice, but don't let anyone stop you. This might be to your own benefit.

I don't think it's wrong to keep a book like that as long as you always lock it up where no one can get to it. If your exes get upset about it, just don't tell them about it. It's not really any of their business as long as you don't allow anyone else to read it.

I feel that as long as you keep it locked up all the time and you change the names of the girls/boys which are mentioned(in case it ever does fall into the wrong hands), there's nothing wrong with keeping a record of your sexual life.

I don't see anything wrong with it.
It's just like any ordinary diary, except with more sex involved.

Well thank you all for the input, I came to a decision about my book that i think will benefit everyone... I have decided to simply be rid of it, Or at least thats what i'm going to tell everyone who knows about the book already and then it will simply remain a secret hidden away in the back of my closet while i keep working on it. Kind of like the "Eraser" method of taking care of a problem.

I think that's a good idea, if no one knows about it, no one can be hurt by it.

I guess I could understand if you were planning on publishing the book or something and your ex's full names were in there, but otherwise I don't see anything wrong with it. Exploring sexually is a good thing...It's not like it's perverted or disgusting. It's natural.

I can completely see that going entirely wrong because someone finds it. XD
Either way, I'd change the names of the people involved in the book and then if you want to write it, go ahead. If you're never going to show anybody, why does it matter?
