Yesterday, I was hanging out with a group of friends, now you see, I myself never give in to peer pressure, Im usually the one dishing it out. So I get an Idea to brand stuff with metal cookie cutters shaped like letters, Snowmen, Angels, Stars, Hearts, ect. So we did. After a while one friend says 'Let's brand ourselves!' So right away I was all for it, not to myself, but to him. So we were thinking of what to brand, we had quite a selection. We finally decided to put 'C U N T' Across his chest. These were with fairly small letters so it didn't go across his whole chest, maybe covering.. one breast? Anyway. I wasn't going to do one, but the rest of the group wanted to. So they teased and proded until I left.. So what should I do? I mean I really DO want one, But it seems.. Stupid. I mean Sure, I laughed when my friends did it to themselves. But I'm not sure how I would feel if I did it. Help?

D: I don't reccomend it. branding is in the same body modification section as tattoos and piercings. In other words, branding LASTS.
So if you DO do it, for the love of god put it somehwere you can hide and do something you can see yourself enjoying forever.

Izzy, I know but thats why I want it.. I mean, It's certainly easyer than a tattoo, and my parent could give a shit less. I have a low pain threshold so I think i'll be okay.. I just don't wanna.. Putting it simply, I don't want to get an infection, and doing it with a group of... Not so smart friends.. Dosen't seem like a good idea, considering it's in a not-so-sanitary place ither.

Thennnnnnnn....
What does your gut tell you? Do you think you can take appropriate care of the burn, and do you think it's really worth it?
If you answer yes, then go for it. if you aren't sure, then wait.

Well, I know, for a fact. That there is NO way I could take care of it without getting an infection, thats my biggest worry. And I know, for me anyway it would totally be worth it.
Thats the problem I have, Taking care of somthing so easily forgotten.

If it really feels like it's worth it, you need to be responsible. Buck up, look up some information here, and take care of the damn thing.
But if you REALLY know that even if you try, you'll get an infection, you shouldn't do it.

Right-o. But let's say.. I start taking care of it. But due to my forgetfulness, I forget.. some odd days later. Now lets say, because of it being June and all, an infection gets to me. Would it be serious, or somthing I could just splash Acohol on?

Hmm... I don't know. I suppose it depends on the severity of the infection.
If it doesn't look like it's going away, or it's particularly nasty, get to the doctor.
And if you haven't already, check out the link. :3

Oh I have, and it's making me want one more, but now seeing that it could come out looking like shit, I think I should see a professional.. I live in new york, which is a plus considering i've seen branding places around. I think i'll do it professionally. Yeah.. Thanks for the help izzy. Seriously x] Good luck with the name change, and this topic should be closed now, as the problem has been solved.
